Surely it couldn't be as insignificant as that god-awful all-star fiasco. Can’t see the four nation thing happening every year. And it would lose its significance if it did.

I cannot imagine the GM's being happy with the ferociousness with which some off the games were played and the injuries that came out of them. Interested to see what the league does.I’m curious to see what the repercussions of the 4-Nations will be terms of injured players returning to their teams and potentially impacting playoff contention / positioning.
I thought I read Brady Tkachuk told the Sens he will need to miss a few games to recover ..
The Bruins are furious about what happened with McAvoy and who knows if Marchand got injured / worn down and how that now impacts playoff aspirations …
All stars NHL teams would absolutely destroy the other teams.Would be kinda nice to see a Friendly tourney with KHL, Sweden, Finland, Swiss league all stars in a mini tournament. Yeah it wont be hated rivalries, but i always enjoyed those Red Army teams exhibition with nhl teams..
Two NHL all star teams (east and west)
1 KHL all stars
1 SHL all stars
1 Liiga all stars
1 Swiss/GER all stars
2 divisions of 3. 2 games each.. winner of each division plays in the final.
I dont find All star teams particularly good (most of the time) - also remember it is one player from each team - not the "actual" best in the league...All stars NHL teams would absolutely destroy the other teams.
Owners won’t go for that. Especially Canadian based teams. Revenues are in CDN $ and players and coaches salaries are in US $Maturity is realizing you really only need about 60 something regular season games.
