I would probably do that deal.
3 + 33 + Hronek + Debrusk for 1 + Rielly (if he waives) or Joshua (back again) would be the deal.
This Canuck fan would not make that offer, I know it was suggested by a Canuck fan but that’s far more than I would to give up. Take Hronek out, he’s valuable and skews the deal significantly in Leafs favour.I would probably do that deal.

I couldn't even justify that. Dallas' future second and our third overall is where I'd limit things. Even if McKenna and Stenberg are snapped up, there are other fish in the sea, and someone will drop further. We can pay to move up from 24 to, what ever, a pick in the mid teens, then.I would offer #3 + #24. Wouldn’t go much higher than that.
I can understand that. There’s a huge chance that Stenberg is available at #3, and imo he’s only a slightly worse prospect than McKenna.I couldn't even justify that. I feel like our future isn't set in stone yet, and while I feel McKenna and Stenberg are 1 and 2 for BPA, I feel we'd be better off with, say, Malhotra or Bjork with what ever other assets being asked for to move up versus one or the other.I can understand that. Pretty reasonable and correct take. Id say 95 % of Leaf fans have little to no interest in trading that pick so threads like these just generate and rehash old talking points.I feel like our future isn't set in stone yet, and while I feel McKenna and Stenberg are 1 and 2 for BPA, I feel we'd be better off with, say, Malhotra or Bjork with what ever other assets being asked for to move up versus one or the other.
Plus I've posted my thoughts on the history of the 1st overall pick being traded before the draft. It hasn't taken much to move up or down from 2 or 3 or 4. If the pick is moved, especially to Vancouver or Chicago, neither team will be giving up the bag to get it. If Toronto fans are expecting another first, a second, a top prospect and a top flight roster player to move up two spots...well they'll be drafting first overall. "Oh, no!" I can hear them saying.
