best non-tapered shaft?

I'm looking into getting a new shaft after using an Easton Octane for a while. I play outdoor so using a tapered shaft wouldn't work given the lack of tapered ABS blades. Can anyone give me their recommendations on the best non-tapered shaft?

I always recommend the ultra lite. I've had a few people buy one on my recommendation and none have complained. The one90 would also be a good buy but I believe the ultra lite will be the best bang-for-your-buck.

CCM started making a tapered ABS blade. Haven't used this blade yet, but the CCM V20/40s have held up pretty well outdoors:

As for standard shafts, the Ultra Lite is probably the most popular bet as everybody else has been saying. I'd been wanting to try out an Warrior AK but really don't want to blow $115 on just a shaft.

The Bauer one90 shaft has a nice texture to it, slight grip but not too grippy but of course that's all personal preference. The one90 shaft also comes in a 77 flex senior which is perfect for a skinny guy like me.

Haven't had any experience with the various TPS shafts, but I hear from most that they're pretty underrated.

I've never used a one90 but the ultralite is a tank. I hear great things about the one90 and AK-27 though.

Just don't pair any easton with a warrior blade.

IW has the Ultra Lite for $75 which is $5 cheaper than most places.

HockeyMonkey has the Mission L-2 tapered shaft + 2 blades on clearance for $70. That's a pretty good value. You're probably spending $75+ on an UltraLite/one90 and then at least $15-20 on an ABS blade. Although they only have a couple of curve options left.

Just don't pair any easton with a warrior blade.

Hrm, did you hear multiple bad stories about this? I've been wanting to try out the Warrior Smyth pattern.

It's called the Easton blowout. Moreso with tapered blades but I've heard a few stories about standard blades too. The tenon on the warrior blades are too short for easton shafts and it shortens the lifetime of the shaft dramatically.

Wasn't that only with Z-Bubbles? The short tenon of the Warrior blade and the flared end of the shaft had issues.

I have both the Ultra Lite and the Z-Bubble and they're awesome shafts. Can't go wrong with the ultra lite... I use a Vapor X blade with it and it's still in amaznig condition after a year.

A good friend of mine used a z-bubble for years until a friend of ours snapped it taking a slap shot, and ive been using a ultra lite that i bought used for $35 for a couple years now, both sticks are great,
