Who do you see as the best player(s) in this facet of the game? Feel free to mention both goalies and shooters.

Jonathan Toews is 37/80.

That's pretty good.

Patrick Kane is also pretty reliable.

It seems like Silfverberg never misses. It's to the point that it's laughable how he scores almost every single time.

Yeah, it almost looks comical

From last night:

[NHL]2015020184-694-h[/NHL]

He's 16 for 25 over his career.

Petteri Nummelin

Not in the NHL anymore, but man, if you put that guy in a shootout line-up it's like being up 1-0 already. I don't remember what his record was exactly, but it was incredible to watch him. No fancy moves, just froze goalies with his shoulder shrug without fail and slid it by them. Currently I'm not sure who is the best.

At the moment, I believe TJ Oshie to be the best, but even he isn't as good as Nummelin was. Don't I remember Kovalchuck being pretty amazing at it, too?

Silfverberg is damn good.

Honorably mention to Gustav Nyquist who really figured out the shootouts last season and scored 8/14.

Jump to 11:40 and his shootout goals start, he was money:

zuccarello is very solid in shootouts. Surprised he wasnt mentioned in the nhl thread.
Anyone know where i can find a players career shootout stats?

Oshie was great but he slowed down last year, idk if he's taken any for the Caps.

Tarasenko is damn near automatic. Deke to snapper on low blocker or tuck it around on the backhand

I think Radim Vrbata might be the all time leader in shootout goals? Not sure what his percentage is though.

But Frans Neilsen is probably the best.

Oshie was the best, he was pretty brutal at it last season. Tarasenko and Shattenkirk are both pretty much automatics on the Blues
