A K-athartic moment, as Kovalchuk ended Russia's 15-year gold drought and his own goalless streak lasting for the entire 2008 World Championship, scoring both GTG and OTGWG in the final game.
WC GTG and and OTGWG pretty much guarantees you an OTPHJ

Ever been inside one of these hellholes? Makes prison and war look like puppy playdates.

Excuse me for jumping on offtop, but is this real? Number of fast-food restaurants seem to be too high for the size of the building. Seems like a circumvention of sanitary and safety requirements.

The entire existence of those three franchises has been a circumvention of sanitary and safety requirements.

while these may not be historically significant, there's a good chance you've never seen them as 18-19 years ago, I had found a way to load the high resolution photos from some website by guessing the file name for each resolution lol
Weren't these from nhl.com? I remember they had a "pic of the day" type thing on the homepage for a while where you could click on it and get a larger version. I'm pretty sure I remember the Phaneuf and Armstrong ones from your last post.

they could very well be but they definitely weren't available in higher res. They existed on the server but weren't displayed or linked. I had to guess the resolution in the file names

I’m not sure of this, but Carolina-Toronto was the matchup during the Leafs’ 100th anniversary game back in 2017. That was the same season as the NHL’s 100th anniversary, so the pucks had that “100” on them.

If that’s from the same game, what a cool moment for the photographer to catch the “100” on a puck in mid-flight.

That specific image of that building might be photoshop/AI. Hard to tell, reverse image search just comes back to memes. But 'Kentacohut's were absolutely a real thing, and ive been in a couple that looked very similar to that building size/layout. Idk if anymore exist at this point.

Probably a good thing they don't exist anymore.

No, this is amazing. The Frozen Moments on NHL.com were some spectacular photos and they really should bring it back. In fact, they're part of what I was imagining this thread to be.

In particular, I've wanted to see this one again for a while:

So yeah, thanks for digging for these.
