I know this poll has probably been done a dozen times before, but it's the offseason.

So who is the #1 best fighter in NHL history?

Apologies if I misspelled a name or forgot someone obvious

Pound for pound, Rick Rypien. He took on all customers and would win. Could throw both ways. All heart.

I think it comes down to Twist, Probert and Laraque, and I truly think that Laraque is the One to Rule them All

He was a f***ing animal with an iron chin
Those are my 3 as well. Not sure if there's one to rule them all though. I can be talked in or out of any of the three.

Twist is the one most forgotten. He was a monster.

Sometimes it feels like Probert’s legend is a little inflated, but then I watch a video and I’m reminded why he has that legend. The number of times that guy took on the very toughest pieces of work in a very tough era, and just dismantled them. I don’t think we’ll see the likes of him again.

It's so hard to even really assess...like...Hockey Fights aren't actually "scored" by any metric. Biggest thing is just the sense of timing and ability to cave guys in for a fairly easy decision, and mostly just scare off other takers.

Which leads me to Boogard or Probert really.
