Best defenseman on your team this season

  • Xenforo Cloud upgraded our forum to XenForo version 2.3.4. This update has created styling issues to our current templates, this is just a temporary look. We will continue to work on clearing up these issues for the next few days and restore the site to it's more familiar look, but please report any other issues you may experience so we can look into. Werenski, but he's been a top-three-in-the-league defenseman so that's not hard at all. And he's not doing it with top-tier prime talent around him like the other two in the running. Plus Fabbro has been the perfect Toews to his Makar, so thank you to Trotz for that not even costing two seconds.

The rest of the defense is a work in progress, although Mateychuk has come in and clicked with Provorov and is unlikely to head back to Cleveland before AHL playoffs except on paper.

Based on potential

Mintyukov
Luneau
Zellweger
Lacombe
Solberg
Hinds
Helleson

After that it’s kinda preference based with tarin smith, dioncicio, Warren, moore.
Im not sure who he passes or if I’d change the rankings but watching Lacombe in his second season holy moly if he keeps getting better the sky is the limit. Can’t believe the leap he’s taken.

Ya just based on potential, it would be hard to put lacombe higher than the rest as he’s 2-3 years older than them and played in a closer to nhl league/system at minnasota.

Canes no surprise it's still Slavin, but Orlov has honestly not been far behind him. Orlov has had an incredible season and will probably be able to get a pretty big contract as a UFA this offseason.

Yep

Josh Morrissey once again is extremely impressive in Winnipeg and easily our best. The guy is one of the most underrated players in the league.

Dylan Samberg and Neal Pionk tied for 2nd. Samberg has been everything we hoped he would turn out to be, and Pionk is quietly having a great season without defensive breakdowns.

That's remarkable because he was down to #5 or 6 on the Caps last year. Definitely a slick guy when on his game.

Chychrun has been our best by a mile, like having a viking on the blue line battling against mere men. I'm worried he's getting frustrated by the insane defensive lapses happening around him lately.

Glad the trade worked both ways so far.

Agree Chychrun has been the best but John Carlson has played well and deserves an honorable mention.
