that triggered a bar memory from that series...
the game after the miracle at molson was a home game, so i was in the esa for that one. but the next road game my group was at a place on hillsborough street across from meredith college. it is the brickhouse now, i think it was playmakers then. i probably haven't been back in that place since 2002, damn.
anyway, the atmosphere in there for that game was insane, but i assume that was pretty universal anywhere in raleigh watching us put up 5 goals in the first. i wanted more goals just to bury the habs after some prick in montreal had thrown a banana on the ice at kevin weekes. i have a vague memory of cole having a goal disallowed that would have given him a hat trick (in the first period maybe?). i drank between 1 and infinity beers.
