Who do you think were the best overall UFA signings and the best value UFA signings and vice versa?

For overall, I'd give it to Sean Monahan easily. He's been a revelation.

Kiefer Sherwood is the best value contract no competition. $1.5mill for 2 seasons as a forechecking 5on5 possession demon? Steal.

Worst UFA contract value wise would go to Stamkos. He's still producing sure, but not nearly enough for his contract. Worst overall, I'd probably give to Chris Chandler Stephenson. That contract is going to age ugly.

Jeff Skinner has been a bum.. I mean at least the deal was only 1 yr for 3m.. I was hoping for more from him though

Pens' signing of Grzelcyk isn't the winner, but deserves an honorable mention. Almost $3M for a guy who has been healthy scratched a ton and doesn't deserve to be seeing NHL ice at the moment.

HM to Jason Zucker who has been tonic for what has ailed the Sabres, probably the best UFA NHL forward they have signed, full stop. For what was widely derided during the summer, he's been all the things Jeff Skinner wasn't - hard on pucks, defensively active, and offensively productive. Add in the mentoring of some of their youngsters and the bite to his game and it's been a breath of fresh air.
