Best and worst deadline acquisitions so far?

Beauvillier was great for Washington. DId you watch any hockey? Schenn played a good game for Winnipeg too.
Beauvillier was one of the better ranked players on both sides in the Montreal/Caps series, analytically.

But then he followed it up as being one of the worst rated in the second series, so he averaged out to be a meh player.

He had 11 points in 28 games with the Capitals and 5 of those points were in the Montreal playoff series.

They get Beauvillier they got in the handful of games against Montreal, it’s a good trade. Caps get him at his other rate (and the best bet that this is the real player) it’s a bad trade for a 2nd rounder.

He’s also a FA again correct? Will be interesting to see if that Montreal series made him some extra years/money because he was kind of a no show throughout 2024-25 on the Pens and Caps.

Florida getting Marchand and Jones made an already cup favorite team even better......the only thing that can stop this machine is injuries.

Best moves of the deadline:
1 - Rantanen going to Dallas
2 - Rantanen not being in Carolina
3 - Seth Jones in Florida
4 - Marchand in Florida

Without those moves, I don't think any of Dallas, Carolina, or Florida are where they are now
The Oilers wouldn't be in the final 4 without Walman. If they never acquired him they'd have Josh Brown playing big minutes with Ekholm out and probably be out in 4 or 5 against LA.
