Line Combos: Best 3rd line ever?

Pahlsson with Neidermeyer and Moen for the Ducks in 06-07? It's probably folly to call any group like this the best ever, but I'm putting them in the conversation.

If I recall, they had more even strength goals than either of their top two lines and even outscored the CASH [Alfredsson, Spezza and Heatley] in the Cup finals while limiting them to like 2{?) total.

I think that was the year that Pahlsson actually finished as a Selke runner-up, when the award was more focused on sheer defensive play.

More strange statistically fact from Luostarinen, 11 points (12 total) has been from away games, like he doesn’t like to play in Florida??

Lundell and Loose ter Rhine in showed a lot of offense under Qs system

Under bum coach Maurice they really went into a solid defensive line but could show some flashes with a proper driver on that line, like Reinhart when he was there, Tank on one leg, and now Panthers legend Brad Marchand there really showing how good they are on both sides.

Best ever?

I would take Hagelin - Bonino - Kessel from 2016 or Cooke - Staal - Kennedy from 2009 over most if not all others in light of the impact those lines had in helping the Penguins win the Cup in those years.

No, that would be Robitaille-Larionov-Homstrom or The Two Kids and a Goat. I could never tell which one was the 2nd and which one was the 3rd.
Forgive me but why would this line be called 2 kids and a goat? Holmstrom was the 'young guy' at 29/30 and Robitaille was like 35 and Larionov the old man at 41. Who's the kid here

HBK for me, but the combo of Lundell and Loustarainen is lethal and add Marchand to that? Good lord.
Yeah, obviously I'm going to be partial to HBK. But that was a really good combination of speed and forechecking, cerebral, and elite talent.

And Hagelin's hair made up for the other two going bald.

As for the topic, not going to say the 'best ever' but Canes in 06 had Doug Weight - Matt Cullen - Ray Whitney as the 3rd line I believe and they put up 51 points in between the 3 of them (18, 16, 15). That line up had an incredibly deep forward group with E. Staal, Cory Stillman, Dr. Recchi, Brind'Amour, Justin Williams, Erik Cole (injured), Andrew Ladd, Weight, Cullen, Whitney in the top 9.

King - Stoll - Lewis in 11-12 was as good as checking line as you will ever see. Monster forecheck, straddled the "dirty" line and won virtually every 50/50 battle they faced.

You misunderstood me. The question was: which line was the 3rd line on 2001-02 Red Wings?

I said: it was either the R-L-H line OR the Two Kids and a Goat line (Hull-Datsyuk-Devereaux).
