I dunno, I generally trust Snow's evaluations lately, he obviously sees something he likes...but he's definitely a battler so haha very true.

I really like what Garth has been doing, besides keeping around this brain dead coaching staff and the Norris contender.

The Isles needed to filled the vacant Kevin Poulin crease position. A average AHL goalie who does not fare well with the big club.

Who knows, maybe he becomes Cam Talbot 2.0.

:help:

Maybe. Talbot at least had an above average season in the AHL under his belt. Your best hope is likely some completely unsustainable luck Andrew Hammond like run. But then don't be stupid and sign him to a huge extension.

Greiss may have struggled in pre-season but he's a MUCH better goalie than Berube. It's important to remember that judging goalies on small sample sizes is very very bad. The worst goalie in the league will outplay the best 1/6 times over 5 games based on random chance. Anthony Peluso is not outplaying Sidney Crosby 1/6 times over 5 games based on random chance. The gap is so much less you need bigger sample sizes to get a real feel for who is better.

Emergency Backup Goalie at best, Berube is not talented enough to make and stick with the NHL.

Personal opinion of course.

I know you're high on him and I do agree with you that I underestimate him, but I don't think he reaches Jones' level. He has good size, but I don't see him getting up to journeyman, maybe decent backup.
Saying none of our goaltending prospects are anything special or even have good potential to become a solid NHL backup is more than ''I underestimate him''.

Of course you may be right, nobody knows, but Bartosak has been more than solid to this point. What more could he do ? The numbers are there as well.

No I have a feeling you totally forgot him otherwise I cant explain it.

I may OVERrate Bartosak but I think he'll be Quick's backup as soon as next year. He's not far off Jones' pedigree and did more with less with respect to teams IIRC.

Berube I think has the raw skill but it takes more than that.
