In real time I didn't think it was that bad. I thought it was an elbow but not a bad one. A concussion might suggest it was worse than it looked.

UPDATE: Stolarz left the building in a stretcher tonight

Getting a 95 mph slap shot to the forehead gave him a concussion.

The sick coach of the Leafs played him anyway, putting him at further risk.

A feather gracing his head would have knocked him out after puking on the bench.

A head shake before a face off doesn't signal a concussion in hockey. Every goalie does it.

Clearly the NHL wouldn't put that as a reason to pull a goalie because every goalie would be pulled every game if that was the case. Goalies will shake their head just to ensure the strap is still in place.

I’d agree about before a faceoff , Stolarz actually does it immediately after the shot as well. Still on his knees with his helmet off. Personally I think it’s irrelevant, Bennett did what he did and should be subject to the consequences, but SHAAKE is something backed by science, no worries though the NHL doesn’t recognize it as a thing.

The league whiffed suspending them before, I’d be shocked if they do it this time. The officiating and the awful biases by the league are just hilarious and super obvious at this point.

IMO with the videos we have Bennett has enough plausible deniability that they won't suspend him. And yeah, he's good at giving himself that plausible deniability.

That said it's taking off on social media and Friedman and Lebrun have both stirred the suspension pot, so maybe he will get a game or a fine.

I'm still guessing it's nothing. No hearing no fine no games missed.

Nuts take and hate to see it from a fellow Habs fan considering what happened to Price after Kreider. Leafs or not, we should know better.

This was a dirty shot to the goalie. Heads are sensitive and weird, just takes an awkward angle and some force. Stolarz ended up puking on the bench and went to the hospital

That’s a tough one.

Contact doesn’t look very forceful but it’s certainly accidentally on purpose by him to contact the goalie there, there’s no doubt about it. You can see it if you slow it down and he doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt.

However, no one can really say if and how much it contributed to the TBI Stolarz (apparently) suffered, he also took a slapshot to the mask.

Leafs should be pissed but I doubt he even gets fined for that. It’ll be on the players to do anything about it and try to rally around that.
