Bennett gets his ass kicked by Zadorov

I walked away from this game thinking Zadorov should wear a letter.
100%

The shift in leadership from Carlo and Coyle who were just the put your head down and play without much passion to Zadorov is what this team needed. This guy is a leader on and off the ice that you want to go to war with.

I know he hasn't had a great season, and he'd probably be the first to admit that, but he has shown it in flashes. It's obvious how much he cares and how much heart he has. I think everyone was expecting more of this from him. Hopefully we look back at this as the night Zadorov broke out

And Bennett revealed himself to be the punk he truly is by firing punches when Zadorov is down with the linesman on top of him. Weak effort by him and a lousy effort by the linesman who let him do it

Unfortunately Zadorov only got his helmet, but there was a lot of power behind those punches. Wish he got a few clean ones to Bennet’s face/jaw after all the nonsense Bennet has gotten away with against the Bruins these past few years.

I like Zadorov and am glad he is on the team, just wish he was on a better contract for what he brings on the ice and considering his age.
The one that put him down landed pretty good.

Been waiting 10 months for that.

Thanks @dafoomie ..You are a gem.

Sam Bennett has established dominance (physically and mentally) over this Bruins team over the past 2 years ---including a cheapshot KO of our captain.

He did whatever he wanted in front of our net and Swayman would have to stick up for himself.

Absolutely nobody tries to dominate Zaddy --I loved it, every second of it.

I'd make Zadorov an "A" on this team.
I loved what he did to Bennett but not sure he is a leader.

We will see.

After the season the boys have had that was a thing of beauty.

Just needs to cut out a lot of the really bad penalties he takes. Few of those have hurt the team

I think you are off the rails, I think last year alone, Coyle showed his worth, as a leader.

I think people like Divver, who didn't want Zadorov, are so invested in "being right" that they go out of their way to call out negatives, but then bury their heads in the sand for weeks and pretend the good games didn't happen. Even today, he can't give him a compliment without a backhanded insult: "A week of mistakes." I guess Divver was too busy to watch the Tampa game.
They say +\- is a terrible stat to use when looking at a player BUT not when comparing him to his own teammates. Zadorov is a +15 and even accounting
for dumb penalties resulting in PPG (not last night, he shouldn't have gone alone)
still would be +\- leader over all the other D.

Would like the coaches to encourage him to carry the puck out of his own end every single time there is space. He gets going with the puck tere are only a literal handful of D men that eat up ice faster.

Maybe I’m exaggerating, but the way Bennett walked down the tunnel made me think he may be concussed.
I was thinking the same thing. Zaddy caught him with a solid shot behind the ear. Couple inches forward and that would have knocked him out cold.

I'm sure he has/had a good headache. Not to wish injury on anyone but you can only dance so long before you pay the fiddler.

Bennett's been such a punk for so long he still has some debts that need paying. Tough shit Sam.

I love your thinking, the fans don't like Zadorov, that is why you like him, "go against the grain" love it be your own man.
My sentence structure there must have been too imperfect. "That's why I love him" was because of the Bennett scrap, not because other people don't like him. But given my iconoclastic nature, that works too.

About as emasculating of a moment you can have in that situation.

Initiate contact with a high cross check, immediately get beat down, try to grab Pasta for leverage..or who knows what, then finally throw sucker punches when Zaddy is down with linesman on him.

Absolute clown behavior from one of the biggest shitbags in the league.

Only way it'd have been better was with some of his own teeth coming out the other end in a few days

Bennett tried to crosscheck Zadorov in the neck or face area .He looked away then did it.Nothing but a sneaky punk who needs to get the jump on you or get you in vulnerable spot.He found out tonite he is not a heavy weight.
Zadorov was ready for that cross check to the face and at 6:06 he had time to block it with his gloves and it was enraged Zadorov immediately. Thats one scary dude
at that point. If Bennett was in an even worse spot Zadorov could have put him in a coma and I'm not exaggerating.

The increase in cap will help for certain $$$ wise.

I wish they had another game this year

Betting Zaddy to get another tilt in, and most likely a game misconduct would be the easiest money ever won.
