Bouchard only turns over the puck on 11% of his possession- 6th best in the league. You have no idea what his intensity is.

Classic oilers fans- “he sucks- trade him” also oilers fans “why do players leave the Oilers and do better elsewhere?” Saw it with Foegele and McLeod. The team will spend the next decade trying to find a player like Bouchard

A lot of his mistakes would be forgotten if they weren't all auto-goals with this tandem.

So many "fans" of this team have no clue what good goaltending actually is, despite yet another shining example from the opposition tonight.

There was constant long delays between whistles. Constant long commercial breaks too. We were practically double shifting the whole McDrai line in this game as there was so many extended breaks in play. Time out also gives Sabres time rest the only skaters they have that can even defend...

Avs are in a wildcard spot because no player can do it alone, even as talented as Mac, Makar and Toews. Their GM saw they lacked depth and got a 2C, 3C , and 4C this deadline, as well as trading Rantanen for Necas, which is working out beautifully for them. I read a stat today that the Avs have used 42 skaters and 6 goalies this year. If you’re not performing, see ya. Half our roster would be on the waiver wife if the Avs brass ran our team. They want to win. We want to give retirement contracts to “good guys”.

Good post. Once in thirty years a team gets a D that can go PPG and the fans have the pitchforks out for him swearing at him. Last time it was Paul Coffey. The fans were constantly on him too. Its as if the risk/reward and situation of being last man back isn't properly understood at all. EVERY D makes mistakes. Orr was -5 in one period against the Habs one playoffs. 1971.

He has the stats of an 80s goalie but an .897 save percentage then was around tops in the league.

You just dont see this type of stuff unless 97 is getting fed up with this organization as a whole. Not calling a timeout and not moving his top 6 around to see if Draisaitl has an actual hockey player to play with is just delinquent coaching.

I bet McDavid and Draisaitl play horse with how bad a goal they can get on Skinner every practice.

And our powerplay has been practicing against our 26th place PK this year. Gulutzan napping every practice just assuming it's still all going good since 22/23.

Imagine inserting Holloway - Mcleod - Foegele as our 3rd line right now

The reason this pissed me off so much was because with those 3, at least Holloway and Foegele, our contention window would’ve been burst wide open for a decade. Holloway was a very obvious replacement for RNH (and might have a more impactful career 5on5). Foegele drives play, forechecks incredibly well, so good on the pk because he’s fast (our pk sucks this season partly because…slow). We went into last summer with 2 holes- goaltending and 2rd. Now we have goaltending and also essentially have to rebuild the entire forward core around Mcdrai.

The same fans who wanted Henrique instead of Mcleod because Henrique makes "less mistakes" are the same who want to get rid of Bouchard. For the first time since Mcleod became a full time NHLer, our bottom 6 is getting caved because Henrique can't do *anything* and also barely has the puck, so what mistakes will he make? Similarly, you know who doesn't make mistakes like Bouchard? A guy like Luke Schenn, because he also barely has the puck. I understand being frustrated with him but acting like he's not easily a #1 Dman and we should get rid of him is absurd.
