We'll never know but I get the feeling they made no serious attempt to bring one in. It didn't mean you had to trade Skinner but how could a new goaltender hurt the situation?

If Skinner was having a Vezina season it would still be dumb as f*** to not get a goalie. Even if he was Hasek, we’re one injury away from a Pickard - Rodrigue tandem.

There is no justification for not getting a redundancy. Zero. Even if you believe Skinner is a stud, still stupid.

I honestly at this point don't even understand. How can you be that large and that immobile?

How do you play goal your entire life and not have the ability to push off laterally? That's literally what they teach you day 1.

And literally after a certain point, at what point do you not just go back to school and learn how to do it? He should sit for 2 weeks and just be spending 12 hrs a day pushing from one post to the other. Like what the f***.
Watch this guy skate some time. How is he even in the pros. He's like old school goalie 50yrs ago where skating wasn't focused on as much. But its like every aspect of him it isn't honed, practiced, perfected. Nothing about him is sharp. Even when he's out to the boards fetching a puck he skates back like he's in a beer league game. its hilarious except he's our goalie. The Skinner shuffle. I'll get back to the cage sometime. .

Podkolzin didn't touch the ice again after his turnover leading to the (eventual) game winning goal.

Maybe Knob is starting to see how bad of a player he is.
Arvidsson also got demoted after his turnover. Unfortunately the guy who took his spot was Connor Brown, so, not many options. The forward choices that got made last summer really hurt this team.

Why would he be gone? Like none of the goals were his fault- he scores a goal- idiots here want to trade him
IDK man. If you can't watch and see how bad Bouchard has been I can't help you. Offensively the guy is constantly shooting puck into shin pads. On defence he lacks intensity and turns the puck over too much.

Paying him top dollars is a mistake.

Loose team with bad goaltending is a bad combination. Oil self-induced chaos creation is a recurring issue. Poor puck management at the opposition blueline is leading to far too many 180 foot odd man rushes. Finishing inconsistency continues to be a problem despite 5 goal posts. Good goaltending can win hockey games. No time out used by coach to try to tie this one up. Sneaky good game by Ryan McLeod with team high 21:02 toi and second forward pk ice time at 3:28 on 50% face-offs and 1 assist. Steady diet against top line opposition and +1 on the game.

Deficient in a lot of areas. Inconsistent consistently in a lot of areas. Lots of high risk, low reward dumb decisions costly for this team

This picture will never get old.
Just like the one of Noel Picard tripping Bobby Orr in front of the net

Rocket Richard and Sugar Jim Henry with blood streaming down their faces,

just an all time, iconic hockey photo.

Sadly though the first two are images of warriors and the last one is of a Bozo.

something something roloson, something something no upgrade in net available, something something its not stu's fault, something something blame the forwards and defense
I'm waiting for the war and peace treatice part 17 on how its not my fault Skinners faullt. Its the team for not scoring enough goals to account for Skinner shitting the bed again. This was like 3GA on around 5 Buffalo chances and goal posts too. Fortunately Sabres shot wide on vast majority of their looks.
