I had the same immediate thought. Maybe things become stable with the new setup, but this is a perfect trial balloon for what might be inevitable.

I am in an unfortunate position where my wifi isn’t good enough to reliably support pirated streams at any consistent quality so and would hate to be forced into a larger cable streaming service so as much as I hate it having the fanduel network subsciption is actually my favored option

If this is the long-term solution (WRAL or a digital channel) an antenna will work for anyone who is local as well.

I wonder if this trial balloon is a way to show Diamond Sports that the ratings bump would make selling the games to WRAL/WRAZ more profitable for Diamond Sports than keeping them on FanDuel SN.

And the games are available across most of NC and SC over the air as well:

Crappy things is with SlingTV I don't get local channels, and my Antenna (or the signal) isn't strong enough to reach me in Winston Salem very well. So yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!!

If I didn’t have to pay extra or pirate to watch the canes I would be so happy
