Would you sign Bedard to an 8 year, $15 million, deal?
No way the AAV will be that high.

If that's all he'd sign this Summer, I'd just wait another year to see if he makes a big leap first.Would you sign Bedard to an 8 year, $15 million, deal?

This hits on a question I have for hawks fans. Purely hypothetical and very unlikely to happen but is there a number that, if offer sheeted you would walk away from and take the 4 first rounders?Would you sign Bedard to an 8 year, $15 million, deal?

I don't see any reason for Bedard to consider signing long-term with Hawks
Why should he commit to an organization that appears to have no plan to support him or direction as a franchise?

It isn't new for him. You just learn to ignore his hyperbole. What the hell happened to you did some burn down your house or something!?!? You are all over the place with negative takes..

Vlasic doesn't change this, they need KK/Lev etc to develop into top 4 defensemen and be well above average at that given the draft capital they spent on themHawks will be fine
The way we are developing D men is reminiscent of the last rebuild and subsequent monster of a team we had. Now that we remembered how to develop D after a decade plus long inability to do so, any of my concerns are alleviated
If Davidson isn’t the guy, which is still to be determined, then someone else can finish the job and take us to the next level
Getting the generational talent and development of D men were always gonna be the biggest questions. Now it’s just a matter of patience and not doing anything stupid
The fact that Crevier is coming along and so is Allen says something they are doing is workingVlasic doesn't change this, they need KK/Lev etc to develop into top 4 defensemen and be well above average at that given the draft capital they spent on them
just want to see it translate into more wins than losses before giving them credit for knowing what they're doing development wise, they kept Korchinski in the NHL last year instead of sending him back which proved to be idiotic in hindsight and at the time plenty of people said he should go back...personally think Rinzel is the real prize and will end up being the best one out of the group but most pipelines probably have a Crevier/Allan typeThe fact that Crevier is coming along and so is Allen says something they are doing is working
Those two you mentioned and Rinzel are clearly the prized pigs but all indications are those two are coming along in Rockford
Yeah was not a fan of Korch getting tied to an anchor for a partner last year when he shouldn’t have been up to begin withjust want to see it translate into more wins than losses before giving them credit for knowing what they're doing development wise, they kept Korchinski in the NHL last year instead of sending him back which proved to be idiotic in hindsight and at the time plenty of people said he should go back...personally think Rinzel is the real prize and will end up being the best one out of the group but most pipelines probably have a Crevier/Allan type
Plenty of optimism above. I wish I could share it.Vlasic doesn't change this, they need KK/Lev etc to develop into top 4 defensemen and be well above average at that given the draft capital they spent on them
We need to see a few monster years from Bedard before we put him into the generational category, there are a lot of really really good players out there that he hasn't surpassed yet, he had generational junior production but that doesn't mean it will be that way in the NHL
