Bedard has a higher ceiling but Celebrini is more NHL ready in his first season. Bedard.
Why do you say higher ceiling favors Bedard, just total point output? Celebrini has the superior physical package and plays a two way game that is already far ahead of Bedard. I think Celebrini has the far higher ceiling personally, Bedard has lots to work on still in the positional and mental side of the game to be a consistent impact contributor. Celebrini needs more man strength to fully unlock his game, but his decision making seems very polished right out of the gate.

I think Bedard will be the more productive player and the more likely to charge Chicago's offense on a shift to shift basis. I could see Celebrini being the better all around center if you consider everything the position entails. I think it's too early to say though.

Slight lean Bédard because of the raw creativity and ability to create something out of nothing with his shooting and vision but I will say that the change of pace and acceleration Celebrini has makes it more difficult for teams to defend him versus Bedard.

There was a play last night in the third period where he got the puck in transition and exploded into a gap and basically left Spurgeon and Foligno I believe it was in the dust, Spurgeon tripping him from behind being the only thing saving a breakaway.

Bedard might have superior puck handling and vision in a tight gap like that, and you can beat a lot of NHL defensemen by a combination of edge work and body deception like he has, but the all out pace that Celebrini has I think makes him a harder player to defend in his prime.

All that being said, slight lean Bedard at the moment because of his puck skills but Celebrini’s physical package and dynamism might win the day eventually; especially in transition it’s like watching MacKinnon

If I start a franchise from scratch, I'd lean towards Bedard. Would I trade Celebrini for Bedard with the Sharks current makeup? Nope. No chance. I think it's close enough that it depends on the team.

Question is simple. Who do you take to start your franchise with?

Bedard has game breaking hands, speed and a wicked shot.

Celebrini has a 200 ft game, and is a center, while being larger.

Who do you choose if you want to win cups? Who has more of an impact on the game right now, and in the future?
No, he does not
