At #9, I really think the Bears will have one of:
Nabers (unlikely)
Odunze (fairly likely)
Edge1 (fairly likely)
given the following needs (just listing the top 2/3 needs unless the pick is obvious (e.g. Commies, Pats)) and picks:
Bears (QB, WR, Edge) -> Williams
Commanders (QB) -> Maye
Patriots (QB) -> Daniels
Cardinals (WR) -> MHJ (far from their only need, but MHJ is borderline mythological at this point so they aren't going Edge
I think the top 4 is pretty set in stone barring something very unexpected (e.g. Jalen Carter situation) coming out in the next 4 months.
Chargers (RT, WR) -> Joe Alt (/Nabers)
This one is debatable. I think the Chargers will want to solidify their line and pick one of the better OT prospects in recent years, and then I think they'll start him at RT with Slater on the LT for the time being. They could go Nabers, but positional value is too high, and Alt has been too good. I could also see them trade down and draft Fuaga, since he's the best RT in the draft. If someone trades up to #5, I think that team will go Alt.
Giants (OT, WR) -> Fashanu
Again, debatable. The Giants WR core kinda sucks. What sucks more is their line. They took a shot at Evan Neal 2 years ago, and he has legitimately been one of the worst tackles in the league these two years. They will reset with Fashanu.
Titans (OT) -> Fuaga
Just like the two preceding teams, the Titans has one of the worst offensive lines in football. They are going to prioritize protecting their young QB over giving him another weapon in the first round, especially given the depth at WR this year.
Falcons (QB, Edge, WR) -> Penix Jr. (/Nabers/Odunze/Turner/Verse)
This one is extremely debatable. They need a QB desperately. Maybe they go Fields and give him another weapon in addition to Pitts and London? Maybe they go with the top edge in Turner or Verse (or Latu pending medicals). Or they pull a Pitts again, draft Bowers, and don't get him the ball.
Bears (Edge, WR) -> Nabers/Odunze/Turner/Verse
Again, exercise in futility until after the combine, but as of right now I think the Bears will have some exciting players available at #9, and ultimately end up with Edge1 or a super exciting WR. Or, if both Nabers and Odunze are off the board, there is a good chance that OT2 is still on the board, in which case I'd say trade down.
