WRs off the board so far:
Adams(franchised)
Williams(re-signed)
Godwin(franchised)
OBJ(re-signed)

WRs probably off the board:
Gallup (why would they be shopping/releasing Cooper if they're not bringing him back)

WRs available for trade:
Metcalf(pricey)
Cooper(you have to wonder if the Cowboys are going to shop him due to the domino effect before releasing him)

Remaining UFAs:
Kirk
Chark
Smith-Schuster

The only team id put clearly above them is KC. Wouldnt be at all surprised if they win 11-12 games.
I'd be surprised if they win that many; more likely 9, 10 at most. Outside the West they've got to play Ari, SF, LAR, Tenn, Indy and Balt. They've also got a new coach (N Hackett), who should be better than Fangio but that's not a given.

They won 7 games last year with a combination of bridgewater and lock at qb. I'm not saying I expect them to win 12, but i wouldnt be shocked. Would be surprised if they win fewer than 8 or 9 of wilson stays healthy.

Love the wilson move for denver. Not only does it closes the gap to KC but it gives them a fighters chance at winning the division. Sutton and jeudy are going to be awesome with wilson.

I agree. I don’t get the people thinking this is bad for Denver. KC is an up and down team that I wouldn’t call unbeatable as the last two years have shown, and I think this improvement pushes them ahead of Vegas and likely ex-San Diego in the division as well, all due respect to Herbert.

This gives Denver a shot, and a shot is all they need.

Pretty decent return for Indy, though now they have an even more glaring gap for what should otherwise be a playoff team.

I forgot that they gave up a first for him to begin with, though. Man, was that a glaring whiff.

I certainly don't think it's a 'bad' move for Denver. Just that considering the difference in their difficult upcoming '22 schedule (NFC West) vs their past cupcake '21 schedule (NFC East, Det, Jags, Jets), makes the possibility of being a playoff team very suspect in '22. I'm also expecting their defense to take a hit with Fangio being gone.

They'll have KC (2), LV (2), LAC (2), Tenn, Indy, Balt, SF, LAR, Ari + five expected easier opponents. Obviously trying to pick NFL games is crapshoot but if they can go 6-6 in those first 12 I listed, they will have exceeded my expectations. Good luck to them........and my sister, who is a huge Bronco fan and I think was happier to see Fangio being let go, than trading for Wilson.

edit - while composing this I see Indy has a bigger QB question now, so maybe they will take a step back from last year

I think you're drastically underestimating the value of going from bridgewater/lock to wilson.

Maybe. But I think many are equally underestimating the '22 schedule. Mahomes twice, Hebert twice, L Jackson, K Murray, Tenn (#1 seed in '21), plus the two teams from the NFC title game (SF, LAR). I'm not discounting Wilson being a significant upgrade at QB. Just not sure he's enough to definitively say Denver is going to be a playoff team considering the schedule. I'd give them a 50% likelihood of being a playoff team. Not a hater, tempering expectations is all.
