Bears NFL Talk 103

Everybody is mocking Jeanty to the Raiders, but I honestly feel like there is a reasonable chance they go Shedeur if he falls to them for the same reason that Atlanta went with Penix last year, they need a long-term solution and will likely not pick this high again next year, plus the TB12/ownership connection. If Raiders don't pick Jeanty then he might just slide to Bears at 10

Who is Chad Forbes?
What, you don't believe the real news comes from Twitter user NFLDraftBites?
Raiders organization is as big if not bigger clownshow than Bears

Not exactly the ones to be throwing stones from their glass house
I'm old enough to remember when the Raiders were supposed to lure Ben Johnson away from the Bears.

I really don't see it with Hampton. I think he's considerably closer to the pack than he is to Jeanty. I feel like 90% of his highlights is just being big and fast and running through a hole that a relatively good O-line opens for him.

If Jeanty is gone at #10, I pick whatever is there and pick whatever really good RB is on the table at pick #39 or #41.

Considering Poles hit or miss rate in the second round maybe they should make that deal?
Wrong round. Round 2 has been good with Poles. Brisker, Gordon, Dexter Sr, Stevenson. It's the 3rd round that has been trash.

Also, again, I really want to hammer home that early round two looks really good for value picks this year.

I think the bears need difference makers...so, regardless of position, take the player who can change the damn game. Thats why I want Jeanty and why I wanted Bowers last year. Stars control the game often transcending their position.

I know I'm in the minority but would really like the Bears to take one of the top safeties with one of their first 4 picks. Bears don't have any S signed for 2026 and with Brisker's health concerns, getting a difference maker S could be huge for this year and the future.
Safety is a bit of a weird position where it's pretty doable to get a good one late in the draft. I think Dennis Allen also indicated that Gordon may get some playtime on safety this season.

But I agree, they need bodies on that position.
