Feels its only matter of when they finally announce it at this point

Apparently the Bears love Jeanty, as do I, BUT I would not trade up for him.It would be great to get Jeanty but he won't be around at 10. You'd have to move up.
Bears extend Kyler Gordon 3 years $40 million. $31.25 guaranteed
Great news, he’s incredible at his position.
There's been no talk about the draft here for some reason.
Less than a week away, but it appears the Bears will go with Kelvin Banks, OT Texas. I'm personally hoping for a trade down but that as appears unlikely.
My gut tells me they're going to try to trade up for Jeanty. Probably offer #39 or #41 to Jacksonville to make the swap.
If the Bears are convinced Jeanty will likely be a star, then I'd probably do that deal. I'm not sure Jacksonville would be willing to give up #70, though. Especially with #10 being where the draft falls back in many eyes - assuming Sanders doesn't go top 9.10 + 41

5 + 70
Who says no?

The big thing for me is I want the Bears to find a way to get one of the top 2 backs...in the least painful way possible.
Hard to get very excited about any of the options that will likely be there at #10, and trade down opportunities need a willing partner. Even if Jeanty is there at #10, he's a bit undersized, had a ton of carries in college, and likely to have the relatively short career of an NFL RB. Any other position player taken at #10 won't likely be a starter and may not contribute significantly for at least a year. There's been no talk about the draft here for some reason.

I agreed but remember last year when Poles wanted to trade up to get Odunze and Cunningham had to talk him down.If the choice is between Jeanty at pick #5 and whatever RB is there at #39, I take #39 any day. And I really like Jeanty. The value in the draft this year is in the early second round. I wouldn't move those picks for anything but a massive overpay.
