McDermott and Joe Brady have some answering to do. That said, the refs decided the game in the Chief's favor yet again. 4 critical plays - two blocks in the back on the long punt return - not called. Result - TD. The 'catch' - result TD. Buff 4th and 1 conversion. Next play, KC OL tackles Buff DL. Mahomes scrambles for 9 yards. TD drive. It's one thing for refs to be bad. It's another when those refs are putting their hands on the scale for one team.

I hope the Eagles destroy KC.

Yikes...this is about as least enthused as I can recall being for a Super Bowl.

About as much as last year. I'm beyond sick of KC. But hey, at least we get more of the Kelce family in our lives. We just don't see that much of them.

Tell me about it.

CFB: dead. It has morph into a mediocre version of the NFL.

NBA: Is beyond useless to me. A complete hot mess of a league.

MLB: Dodgers are basically trying to kill MLB.

NFL: Chiefs are making the NFL more predictable than WWE.

Sports are supposed to be fun but they have not been for awhile now. Time for new script writers.

I think we’re just getting older too.

Did not realize this OC was so young... Born in 96 and still in his 20s and he's been in the NFL since 2019. 🤯

Coaching history from his Wiki page.

Iowa - In 2016, Doyle joined the University of Iowa as a student offensive assistant.
New Orleans Saints - In 2019, Doyle was hired by the New Orleans Saints as an offensive assistant under head coach Sean Payton. In 2022, he was retained by the Saints under head coach Dennis Allen.
Denver Broncos - On February 25, 2023, Doyle was hired by the Denver Broncos as their tight ends coach, reuniting with head coach Sean Payton.

How does he go from a college that basically has never has an offense and as a "student offensive assistant" to working under Sean Payton? Wonder who he knows to have gotten that promotion.

Regardless, if this guy is worth a damn having worked under Payton will only mean good things for the Bears. When an offense runs through your HC like it will with Johnson, I wonder what an OC even does.

Biggs is pushing Dan Roushar as the likely OL coach. I'd be good with that. He had a weird exit from the Saints, where the OL was always good or better under him. He was promoted to TE coach and run game coordinator in addition to OL coach, which apparently was a bit of a catastrophe. He's be by far the oldest and most experienced person on the offensive staff.
Not sure how I feel about the Declan Doyle hire. I’ll trust Johnson, but this is a question mark for me
Definitely big question mark. Overlapped with Campbell at NOLA, and clearly has Payton's stamp of approval, so he shouldn't be a complete unknown. Guessing Johnson trusts that Doyle will put in an ungodly amount of hours to get things ready for him, like he said in his introductory press conference.

Thomas Brown to the Patriots, back to being a pass game coordinator. Good for him. Seemed like a good guy, but was definitely in over his head as a head coach play calling Waldron's plays.

Should start hearing about how some of the prospective draft candidates fared during practices over the next several days with the Shrine Bowl on Thurs and the Reese's Senior Bowl on Sat.

Quite a few interesting OL at the Senior Bowl this week. Campbell, Banks, Simmons aren't there, but loads of other players expected to go on day 1 and first half of day 2. DL isn't quite as stacked, but there are still some interesting names attending for the purposes of day 1 and day 2 picks.

Keep an eye on Armand Membou out of Mizzou. His name has started popping over the last month or so (which usually means someone talked to some NFL scouts), and he might have some G/T versatility that Campbell doesn't.

I’ll watch it, but I can’t say I’m all that excited for it. More excited for the draft than the game if anything.

And I say that as someone who almost never watches the draft. Although I doubt I watch this one either, but am eager to see what the Bears do with their first 3 picks.

Measurements from senior bowl came out. I think NFL teams will view a good number of these O-linemen as interior players. Lots of tiny little baby arms among the bigger names, and this doesn't include Campbell and Banks who both have question marks there.

Monheim, C out of USC, has shorter arms than I do. I'm 5'11. He's just a bit over 6'4.
