ZeitlerWho are IOL options in FA? Trey Smith, Center out of Atlanta, possibly Becton (though I can see them passing on him coming off the Nate Davis situation).
Joe Brady, maybe? Don't know if he'd want the position.

Mike Florio may be my most disliked sports pundit (Mcafee and his cronies moving up the list). He is so transparently full of shit and his Vikings bias is obvious any time he discusses the NFC North.I'd also be remiss not to express my disdain for Mike Florio, who the days before the hire did a media tour saying how Ben Johnson was going to the Raiders or staying with Detroit, and the Bears wouldn't get him unless they fired Poles.
As usual with sports media, moved past it with nary a mention of how he was just bullshitting his way around the sports media landscape.
Sports media sucks, and Mike Florio sucks more than most.
He might be the most agenda driven reporter out there as well. Not biased, but I feel like every time he "reports" something, it's actually just something he would like to see.Mike Florio may be my most disliked sports pundit (Mcafee and his cronies moving up the list). I think George and the Bears clearly did each other a solid there. George let them fulfill the rule. The Bears brought George's name up in NFL coaching circles...which it previously wasn't there (as far as I know). I bet he gets an NFL coaching job in the next year. He'll probably start as a RB coach somewhere. It might even be on the Bears staff.Rooney rule is a complete waste of time and I feel bad for guys like Eddie George who get used just to fulfill it.
Teams are going to hire who they want. I understand the concept but I just feel like it causes more harm and embarrassment than good.

The Coen/Jaguars/Bucs thing is absolutely wild. Petrino-esque.
George was in Bears training camp a couple of years ago and at that time the two parties may have agreed to give Eddie an interview, if for no other reason than to get his name out there as a possible candidate. Plus he gets the experience of going through the interview process, even if it may have been a bit of a sham.I think George and the Bears clearly did each other a solid there.
