As always happens when the NFL scouts are coming out of their season-long self-imposed silence, there is quite a bit of movement in how people rank the O-linemen now. I don't think Campbell is viewed as a T, and there are a couple of tackles that might go ahead of him in the draft (Membou and Simmons, maybe Conerly).

I suspect they'll go for Campbell and find the best slot on the line for him. He might be the best O-lineman in the draft, but doesn't have the length to play T.
Will say Josh Simmons is interesting. Natural left tackle. But the injury is the question mark.

If you want to hype yourself up, go look at the offensive game planning in any QB School video on Jared Goff the past few years.

It's like... there was a plan that fit the players he had at his disposal or something.

@Mrfenn92 the new HC was a Computer Science /Mathematics major in college. They hired the biggest nerd available!
Terrible leader of men

I'm just so relieved that even if Caleb busts, we can't blame it on coaching and organizational dysfunction.

I flew out for week 1 this season and might have to use this as an excuse to do it again for next season. Can't wait to see what they do in FA and the draft.

I wonder if there is any type of dream scenario in which Jeanty drops in the draft and the Bears can trade back into the 1st round to get him.

Without knowing a ton about other candidates out there, I really like the sound of Johnson bringing Lions OL coach Hank Fraley with him as OC. Players seem to absolutely love him and obviously the line he helped build there is elite. He's interviewing for Seattle's OC gig though and have to wonder if the potential to call plays there doesn't make that job more attractive

In the same sense that I felt like Caleb would be atleast good for the Bears, I feel that Ben Johnson will be atleast good for the Bears. Maybe we don't go on some crazy run but I expect us to be really close to the playoffs next year, if not in.

If they sign Trey Smith I'd bet money they're in the playoffs regardless of who they draft.

If they don't sign him then I think the 10th OA pick, whoever that ends up being, needs to jump in and be a good starter right away for them to make the playoffs.

It can’t be Jeanty at 10. Just cant be. You have the QB and hired the hot OC on the market but this is still a fundamentally flawed roster. Team is already built like Poles was playing Madden. 10 HAS to be BPA in the trenches whether it be oline (Campbell/Banks/whoever), interior dline (Graham slips?), or edge (great class there)

I feel like if they get Trey Smith and Zeitler in free agency they’ll have the flexibility to go after Jeanty unless someone crazy like Graham or Carter happens to be there.
