Do you not understand this whole NFL coach hiring process?
Haven’t they already satisfied with with some of the 97 candidates they’ve already interviewed? So they can get the Rooney rule satisfied and complete the hire this week. It’ll be either BJ or McCarthy by mid week
No. They have to be in person and has to be two and has to be external.Marc Andrews with a game to forget
Yes.

If that is the case, I expect him to be fired after 3 seasons. That division is not winnable for the Raiders any time soon. I know ego and all but taking the Raiders job would be a mistake especially a year after saying no to Wash and coaching Daniels.Seems most of the country thinks it's only a matter of time until Ben Johnson takes the Raiders job.

Just stuff I'm seeing and have come across. Does career suicide matter when you get 50+ mil guaranteed? Probably not.Really? I only read about the Bears in a few spots and football in general, but I haven’t seen really anyone saying that.
The Raiders would be career suicide, At least in the context of a HC gig. He’s young enough he could probably establish himself as an OC to then get another crack at being a HC but you’re talking maybe like a decade long process.

And it could be a much bigger difference than that. Remember the Raiders gave Jon Gruden that crazy contract some years ago. When they want their guy, they'll pay. Where the Bears - they publicly fight with school districts over a few mil per year in taxes.Would be interesting to see what the offers are, not that we’ll likely ever find that out.
If it’s 50m Raiders, 45m Jags, 40m Bears to throw some random numbers out… well Bears would probably be my last choice.

But I'll still hope for Ben Johnson until we hear otherwise. He seems like a good fit for Caleb.
Bears job is less attractive than Chicago thinks

No one is facing career suicide taking that job so if it doesn't work out it wont be held against them
By that logic the Bears offer the same protection and come with a talented young QBRaiders are viewed as disaster around league

I mean yesSounds like the Bears are going to talk to the Rams about trading for Sean McVay, should Stafford retires.
My god yes. I take McVay over Ben Johnson.
