I saw the best comment so far - Jayden Daniels is exactly what the media told us Caleb Williams
would be.

There’s no getting around that. I get it. It’s too early to make the call on Caleb.

I’ve been a Bears fan for 45 years. I’m sick of seeing other team’s choices and decisions work out better. Just better.

Williams did well this year with awful coaching, and an offensive line
with more holes than a hillbillies screen door.

There is a long way to go, and I think the Bears should have no regrets.
 
Lots of misery being driven by the idea that they picked the wrong QB

Don't know how you can scream all season long about every coach, player, and equipment manager needing to be fired only to think that with another rookie QB the dysfunction would disappear and the bears would now be where Washington is. Pure delusion

Sign Ben Johnson today and get to work. Lot of holes to address even with a better coach in Johnson. My off-season plan would be something like...

1 - Offensive line - just give Trey Smith a blank check.
2 - Find a deep threat. Could Tyreke Hill be a realistic option? Johnson uses Jameson Williams speed A LOT and we don't have anyone at all who can play that role. Realistically I don't think you could address this role until the 3rd round of the draft at the earliest, and at that point there are other holes I'd like to see addressed with that pick.
3 - This will be an unpopular opinion, but if both Banks and Campbell are off the board I might lean towards taking Jeanty with the first round pick and then OL/DL with the second rounders.

This probably leaves the defense in rough shape, but if you're going to bring in an offensive minded coach like Johnson then you have to give him the right players to succeed.

He has great bursts and explosive speed.

Williams doesn't and that hurts him, especially if Williams doesn't learn to hit open check downs quicker.

Hopefully a lot of these holes are plugged in free agency, to allow for some impact draft selections.

I do like that the era of running backs not being important seems to be going away. The Bears running game was shit this year and an explosive back would do wonders for this offense and for Caleb,

IMO signing D'Andre Swift is one of Poles' worst decisions, among many bad ones.

Signing Trey Smith I think has got to be priority #1. That fills arguably the biggest hole on offense and gives you so much flexibility at the draft, and especially with your first round pick. At that point you can double up on the offensive line with the pick, go defensive line, or Jeanty. Smith is still only 25 too so you're getting him through his prime years. Please please please.
