OT: Bears & NFL Talk 103

If you average it out like an NHL contract…. Swift 8M and Everett 6M. Barkley would be like 13M

Everett caught 8 passes all season and I don’t think he even missed a game. Swift for more me than half the season was downright bad.

Terrible, although who knows if Barkley would have even considered Chicago. He seems like a guy I can see only wanting to go to a good team after his NYG stint.

Even if Barkley didn’t want to come to Chicago the Swift and Everett signings were still terrible.
Welp, nobody ever accused us of being a well run organization 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, we're gonna be seeing multiple Love INT's today.

No doubt. His carelessness is why GB will never have success in the playoffs. They might win a game, but his terrible decisions will stop them from going on a run to win it all.

I'd go with the opposite take. I don't think Love will ever be MVP, but I think his feast or famine playstyle can work out exceptionally well over a short stretch of games.

I think he’ll be a guy who just turns it over too much come playoff time for his team to win.

We shall see.

Bears apparently having an in-person interview with Rivera today.

I like Rivera, and truth be told if we had hired him immediately after his tenure in Carolina, I would've been happy. But now? After his tenure in Washington? Very hard pass, hopefully just a courtesy interview.

Very excited about Rivera's .498 career winning percentage. The hardest of passes. Doesn't stop the meatballs from being excited because Rivera played for the Bears 35 years ago.

The Packers don't have any WR left.

And Pittsburgh the organization expects him to turn Chicken turd into chicken salad. Just look at his QB's for the past 5+ years? Cooked Big Ben and Russell Wilson? Untalent busts in Whiskey Trubisky and Kenny Pickett, and an underdeveloped Justin Fields. How do you expect him to win when the organization is not serious about upgrading the QB position. To be honest, I think Tomlin has done more with less in Pittsburgh.
Fair enough, but perhaps he couldn't develop those QBs into something. It's a fair argument. I can go either way on it. One one side of the coin, he gets them to the playoffs. On the other side, he's a lock for one and done in the playoffs. Truly hard to tell.

Yeah. I think a Detroit/Buffalo super bowl would be fun.
I didn't think Detroit could get there will all of those injuries on D, but then they beat the brakes off of Minny. Philly's offense isn't doing that much to excite me. I had Buff/Detr in the SB and I'll stick with that. Anyone but KC. I have KC fatigue.

Incredible TD run by Jacobs and just some horrible tackling by PHI.

GB receiver's arm got absolutely demolished.
Their entire WR corps has been decimated.

Such weak ass play calling by Philly. Just run three times into max run prevent. Lol. How about a play action?

Packers center just blew his knee out.

They will have multiple injuries carryover into next year. I have no idea if this guy is any good, though.

Edit: maybe not a knee injury? Looked that way at first the way he was holding it and rolling in the ground, I thought.

I don't think I've seen more injuries in one game. That said, PHI doesn't look impressive.

Side note: the Bears have completed interviews with 7,486 HC candidates.
I heard one of them was Matt Nagy wearing a fake mustache.

I also heard that he was in the top 3 🤦🏻‍♂️

Welcome back Matt Gnagy
