People on here thought Jeremy Colliton would never coach anywhere in the NHL... he was an ahl coach again for years and now an assistant head coach for the 1st place Devils? He probably gets another shot at some point. Like how Oilers fans said Dallas Eakins would never coach again, but did.

He was the passing game coordinator in what was a situation that people wanted. Bears were getting Caleb. It was a good job. He got HC interviews lol. I'm not saying he balled out but I'd be shocked if he doesn't get a job.

Hockey and football aren’t the same. Hockey loves retreads. McClellan is now the coach of DET. He will wind up coaching 90% of the teams in the NHL by the time he’s done.

This. It’s not just this losing/roster, it’s about his contract situation. If you don’t fire him, you either extend him which is a joke or you interview HC candidates with a lame duck GM which WILL impact the coaching hire.

That reason alone makes it mandatory to fire him.

The Bears are a dumb team, so they're going to mismanage both this coaching search and the eventual GM search.

Pick your poison....

Bears keep Poles, let him hire a coach, and thereby limit options to those okay with knowing that the man that hired them is on a hot seat.

Bears also fire Poles, but repeat their last process and either hire a coach before a GM or force a GM to pick between a couple choices provided by the team.

As long as the McCaskeys are in charge, the team is going to flounder.

Granted I don't run a billion dollar organization, but what is so difficult here? Find a football guy to be Pres./ CEO, get a cap guru in house and let those 2 hire a football GM who hires a quality coach.

The stadium stuff can all be outsourced to developers and guys with political clout.

The Bears being amped for a big presentation to sell the idea of this being a desirable franchise to coach for is akin to an obvious knob super stoked for their chance to appear before an panel of reality TV judges thinking that this is their ticket for a big payday only for them obviously being set up for a meme-worthy level of disappointment.
