Bears are going to ruin Caleb Willaims and Ben Johnson (if they even hire him in the first place), aren't they?

Someone asked me recently about which franchise is more dysfunctional, the Bears or the Jets, and I had to think about it.
Both are garbage. Woody Johnson did nix a trade for Jerry jeudy though because he didn’t like his Madden rating

Ben Johnson could have had most open HC roles after last season but chose to wait another season for the right spot.

If Poles isn’t fired do we really think he’s going to join this mess?

If Poles is fired do we really think a suitable replacement will have the to to decide Johnson is the guy and sign him before someone else does?

I am not optimistic.
My guess is if they want Ben Johnson they have to move on from Ryan and let Ben bring in his own point man.

Like a shared vision a guy he trusts. But your correct Warren won’t like that
I'm not entirely convinced that he wouldn't. Having the GM and HC be on the same tier puts neither above Warren. If anything, it places the GM at a very clear tier below Warren. The HC/GM is a duo that reports to Warren (though probably through the GM).

If that also means that it looks like Warren just hired the hottest hot-shot HC, rather than the GM doing so. That reflects well on Warren. I can see him liking that.

Then again, any talk about what Warren wants is speculation.

Let's not forget this worthless bum in why we are in place we are

Sweat last 6 games

5 tackles
1 sack
3 QB hits

The trade and contract were mistakes. We are seeing why Washington gleefully moved on

He is not elite at anything, and his effort is pathetic

Maybe. We will see. Think it will business as usual as the season ends. Lame duck gm picks new head coach with Kevin’s permission and then poles goes the next year to keep repeating bears history as they continuously do.

He's been doubled basically all season because nobody else is worth a damn on the line, and was playing through an injury for a bit.

Until they do something different, that is undoubtedly the reasonable thing to believe. We'll find out one way or another in about a month.

Though I doubt Poles will be a lame duck GM. I think if he stays with the team, he'll get an extension matching the HC hire, regardless of whether he deserves it.

Exactly what is going to happen. They will somehow be the last people in the universe to realize Poles needs to be fired.

If anyone still cares:

Braxton Jones has been active in walkthroughs this week, which might mean that Williams won't get murdered from the blindside this week.

Jenkins has been DNP, because it's Jenkins. Bates has been DNP, because he doesn't actually exist. Roschon has been active.

Between Cole Kmet's harsh words after the Minnesota game, and DJ Moore is already thinking about vacation, yeah, the Bears players are not going to give their best efforts for the final three games.

I expect huge blowout losses to finish out this titantic of a season. If Poles is brough back, then the Bears are doomed to have a pathetic 2025 season.

I made a point to watch him on Monday night. He was rarely doubled.

Thurs football. Harbaugh vs Payton. And look who the Bears have coaching.

Ryan Bates to IR. His season is over. Supposedly, it begun at some point, but I don't really believe that.

Doug Kramer doubtful with a shoulder injury, so nitwit Twitter warriors who are angry about the stupid hand-off and failure to notify the ref get their wish, and the Bears lose their guaranteed short yardage situation play.

Lions gave up 48 points last week and 31 one the week before.

I just want to see some offense from the Bears today.
