This is the shit that drives me bonkers. Even with the shit show we've been watching I think I'd respect him more if he said, "it was poor time mgmt, I thought we had time to get two cracks at it, and I was wrong." With the benefit of hindsight to say, yeah, I think we handled it right, is insane.
He keeps doing it!

Hail Mary: The yards didn't matter.

Blocked field goal: didn't need any extra yards to get a bit closer.

Today: I'm good with how we handled the timeout situation.

Will 4 wins net a top 3 pick?
Not with the toughest schedule in the league it won't.

I don't desperately crave a top 3 pick this draft. I'm not sure teams are going to pay a lot to trade up this draft, and the best players in the draft are not on positions the team should look at. As of right now. Maybe Carter, if you think he's considerably better as an NFL prospect than the other top DEs or Olinemen.

Shows poor coaching. Again, it seemed like the Players expected the TO to get called thus were not rushing to get back. It was 3rd and 26. Need a few yards to make it closer to a 50 yard attempt or less. Not getting a 1st on 3rd and 26. Need a FG to tie. But, once he decided not to call the time, where was the rush on the rest of the team to get back and be ready. Cause, once you get down to like 20 seconds left, you can't call the TO before the 3rd down play cause then an in bounds play without TO, officials need to allow time for the Lions to sub their guys in thus may not even get the Kick off. Shows a lack of situational football awareness and coaching.

Cliffsnotes?
Kind of obvious. Call the TO with 30
Seconds. Rookie QB and first time OC who just got the job in Nov.

Get some yards and then rush the FG unit out if needed. Plenty of time to do that.

Once it got to 20 seconds left calling a TO then is almost pointless as you are then limited to sideline plays as you need 15/16 secs minimum to rush the FG unit while also allowing the lions to sub guys on and they won’t exactly be hurrying into the field.

22/23 seconds is the like drop dead time to call the TO. Still goes you 6 seconds to run a play and just enough time to rush the FG unit on. At 20 secs that’s a really quick play and Det would be wise to jam the WRs vs play off.

What he keeps f’ing up is the easy crap. The obvious shit everyone knows. Obvious shit that he must know. Basics. My take is he simply can’t think under pressure, loses his composure, and unravels. I don’t know what other explanation there can possibly be. Not everyone is made for the spotlight.

While Moore is deservedly talking flak at least he made some big catches late

Montez Sweat on the other hand had a dominating, 1 tackle performance

Yep, that was his contribution today 1 single f***ing tackle. Just 4.5 sack on year but paid big $ by Poles

The Moore/Sweat extensions look terrible

This team is trainwreck and that falls on GM as well as HC

Both need to go
