The six game losing streak:

Hail Mary
Blowout
Blowout
Blocked FG as time expires
OT loss after furious comeback
Leaving a timeout in your pocket as time expires down 3 after a penalty and sack to knock you out of field goal range (after another furious comeback)

Nobody is doing it like this franchise

HC needed to call the TO. Rookie QB and and OC in his 2nd or 3rd game calling plays. Worst case after calling the timeout is running the FG unit after an in bounds 3rd down play with about 20 seconds to go which is doable.

Eberflus isn't getting fired after all these close losses to playoff teams. He has the team competing well the past 3 weeks.

Listening to Olin and Mannelly. They are saying Flus is gone for sure. If a player drops a ball
Or misses a tackle that’s one thing, but this is now 4 games where coaching decisions at the end of the game have specifically lost the game. You really couldn’t make this up.

Heard great state. There have been 212 coaches in NFL history who have coached 20 or more games decided by one score. Matt Eberflus’ record is 212/212

You can’t make this up.

If the Bears have decided to fire Eberflus, then they should do it by Sunday, and give the interim coach a full week to prepare. Keeping Flus around is good for one thing only....the tank.

This is a mini bye week. Ideal time to fire him. Must be announced tomorrow.

I feel like there is a joke to be made about how the biggest f*** up by the special teams unit after Eberflus stated that he would be involved with them this week was that Carter played a punt too passively and just backed off it.

Surely that's the equivalent of soft zone on special teams?

I don't know if I agree with you, Matt.

This is the shit that drives me bonkers. Even with the shit show we've been watching I think I'd respect him more if he said, "it was poor time mgmt, I thought we had time to get two cracks at it, and I was wrong." With the benefit of hindsight to say, yeah, I think we handled it right, is insane.
