OT: Bears & NFL Talk 102

The fact that the Pack has won 10 straight times you have to be of an aggressive mindset. Other than the two sacks to start the series, their D didn’t have many answers today. You have all the momentum and were poised to run another play or two to get into chip shot territory. Instead, you play cowardly football and you got what you deserved. Absolutely pathetic. You had your chance to beat the damn Pack and you turtled. This sucks. Chicago fans deserve better than this.

The killer is that Flus isn’t just an awful in game coach, he’s probably the worst practice coach in the league.

We lucked into a 1oa and are ruining him. Our coaching is always the worst, our drafting is subpar, the playcalling is always predictable and boring, we have one of the worst owners in football, we haven’t had a good quarterback in any of our lifetimes, the stadium is ridiculous, we’ve won one NFL championship in the past 80 years. Nothing good is ever going to happen to the Chicago Bears organization, and we should just accept it.

I take you back to this post of mine from earlier in the week, particularly the last line. I’ve accepted it, and right now to my surprise I’m not even angry. The Chicago Bears are deserving of apathy, not anger. Until there are major structural changes within the organization, they are simply not worth any level of emotion. It needs to be earned. I’m serious when I say my sudden detachment is cathartic. This is the best I’ve felt as a Bears fan in years.

Like, not even remotely mad but just absolutely baffled that this coaching staff could have thought that was how to play the game out. Like, anyone who knows even the tiniest bit about football knows all of that was wrong. How did this guy ever get to the point to be a head coach.

I honestly thought they were closer when they were burning the clock. Didn't even dawn on me it was 46 yards. Not trying to pick up more yards with a first down is just total incompetence. That shows ZERO trust in your offense.

30 seconds left & a timeout with your young QB moving the ball down field and Flus goes into chicken s**t mode yet again. Took the ball out of his hands for no reason.

No such thing as close enough when the game is on the line. You make it as easy as you can. Even if you run it right to center the ball it’s worth it. Kicking on second down and keeping a TO is absolutely incomprehensible.

Just absolutely baffling coaching decisions to end the game. Braindead, zombie shit. It was some of the most p***y NFL shit I've seen in a long time.

I was watching by my neighbor, and we both were just like... wtf did he just burn 20+ seconds for, 1st and 10, and not run a play, with a timeout in your pocket? Just stupid shit. If Eberflus didn't earn his firing after the last couple weeks, he just did(or at least should have) after this week.

I wouldn't even let him get to the locker room. Would have intercepted him on the way, and fired him before he left the field, if I was Poles.
