Daniels is much more accurate, especially on deep balls. Can't believe how bad Williams throws the deep ball for a number 1 pick.

Dane Brugler who always has a good ear to the ground (and is also a good scout) released his mid-season top 50.

Plenty of talent on the D-line. He has 10 O-linemen in his top 50, but says as of right now, it's not a good year to need a tackle. Will Campbell is viewed as a guard for many teams. Kelvin Banks Jr. is universally viewed as a guard. Williams out of Texas is super raw. Simmons out of OSU is injured. After that you're probably talking 2nd round talents.

Luckily, the Bears need to replace 4 out of 5 O-linemen, and the most pressing need are the interior 3 players.

Don't think we know who will be a viable C until the Senior Bowl. Graham Barton was a tackle at Duke who wasn't viewed as a C until Senior Bowl last year.

I maintain that 2 of the first 3 picks NEED to be O-linemen, and they need to spent the majority of resources in free agency on the line.

Ronnie Stanley as a tackle an option too but he’ll be entering his 30s. I’d still be happy if they targeted him, though.

If I’m the GM I’m prioritizing getting one of those guys. Gives you a little more flexibility come draft time.

I hate the idea of trading back but if they really shit the bed down the stretch…. It’s possible their draft position is around where one of the last QBs goes around the top 10. Could trade back to get a nice haul but still address your biggest area of need in the first round.

Yeah I’d only trade down if say Ewers is on the board and someone is willing to grossly overpay.

Glancing at standings…. Not a ton of obvious options of teams likely drafting after the Bears that would be in the QB market. Maybe the Rams or Seahawks, but I think they’re both one more season away from wanting to figure out who their next QB is.

I'd say the real issue comes down to how cheap he has gone on it. Misses is one thing, but he hit an absolute homerun in Braxton Jones, and seems to have decided he can do that again.

He spent big on Nate Davis, which was a complete miss. But he has tried to cheap out on the position soooo much. And so, after 3 years here, the line is in the same bad situation it were when he joined the team (if not worse). That's unacceptable.
