People still haven't been able to grasp that OL play can be helped (or hindered) by your QB. Or that playcalling is influenced by personnel.
plus one weak link can make the whole line look bad. Amazing how the center does not look as bad once Davis got benched. Lack of effort is worse than lack of talent.

And Bears may have found a diamond in the rough in Pryor, I like what Ive seen so far. He is huge and very physical

I think Chicago and Washington are in similar spots. Two franchises that are starting to trend up but both have unproven rookie QBs. Both teams are looking to prove their start of the season is legit. While I do think CHI is the better team, it's not by a large gap. While it won't surprise me if WAS wins, with or without Daniels, I would be disappointed if the Bears don't win.

As expected Daniels didn't practice today. Sounds like his next update will come after their Friday practice. Stevenson did however practice so that's good. Brisker did not.

Bryce Young starting Sunday... Dalton sprained his thumb in a car accident. Their remaining schedule is actually pretty tough so I'd be surprised if they won more than 2 more games the rest of the season.

Huh, almost like there is a ton of space in the middle of the field. How about that.
This and his performance against the blitz make me excited. He's learning to do the hard things well early on.

I'm sure we will see him struggle again (I mean, look at Stroud, Mahomes and Purdy this past weekend- it never stops being hard in the league), but we really haven't had a QB talent like this on the Bears in living memory.

This is my take too. In ridiculously oversimplified terms:

The Bears' offense has seen a defense like the Commanders before. They have shown that they are capable to put up a lot of points on those defenses.

The Commanders' offense has not seen a defense like the Bears before.

Maybe the Commanders' offense is actually good enough to do something no other team has done since the Lions in Detroit last season and score more than 21 points on the Bears. Otherwise, I trust this offense to put up enough points to beat them.

It makes me moderately positive for the Bears chances against the Vikings D. JT O'Sullivan mentions this in every video he makes about the Vikings, but the secret to not getting killed by their defense is to have:

1. A plan against zero for when they blitz.
2. A plan for the middle of the field for when they drop.

I'm not saying it will be easy, especially for a rookie QB (that defense is eating people alive), but the numbers would indicate that it's possible.

Daniels apparently practiced today but indoors, out of sight from the media (and not with the rest of the team). Kind of smells like he isn't playing and they're trying to play mind games to make the Bears prepare for the possibility that he plays, but who knows

These mind games are silly. Last week, despite what sports media want you to believe, didn't prove that Marcus Mariota is a capable QB. He had an average time-to-throw of 3.5 seconds against the Panthers. If he takes that long to throw the ball against this Bears D-line, he's spending half the game on his back.

The Bears will have prepared for Daniels. If he doesn't play, the game is easier.
