No doubt. Sure, they COULD fire Flus but do you trust the Bears to find a better option? Bears are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Right now the only option is for the Bears to figure it out.
I do trust Poles more than anyone who has ran the bears in a long time. He’s not perfect but he’s also not corrupted by the idiots before him.

He has a better blocking line over there that gives him more time. When Fields has to think quickly, that's when he goes to hell.

Pittsburgh's blocking line happens to include James Daniels, whom Poles let go over a mere 8+ mil per year, in favor of his series of pet failsons Lucas Patrick, Nate Davis (11 mil/yr), Coleman Shelton, Ryan Bates, Cody Whitehair...

The Steelers offense is in bottom 3rd of NFL thru 3 weeks. Fields has been managing games

Fields thru 3 games

55-75
518 yds
2 TD
1 INT
2 fumbles (Neither lost)

The Steelers have given up just 26 pts thru 3 games... The Defense and soft schedule is why they are 3-0

"soft schedule" my butt. Pittsburgh just beat San Diego and Justin Herbert while the Bears lost to the Indy D and Anthony Richardson. Talk about really "soft". The Texans that throttled the Bears subsequently got thumped by Sam Darnold-led Vikings 34-9. The Titans are Titans.

The Chargers aren't that good

They nearly lost to Raiders and underwhelmed vs Panthers

Justin Herbert didn’t play the second half. They had like -2 yards. Look I’m no Justin fields Stan. I hope he succeeds, but I wouldn’t bet on it. He’s also 3-0. Go watch his All-22 stuff. Some middle field throws. Couple throws on time. Looks quicker in his drop.

He threw for like 250 against the Chargers. That would have been a ton for him in Chicago.

What offensive HC options are there? Swolik and Ben Johnson were 2 of the top OCs and continue to be. Does Chicago want to bank again with another first time HC? Most of the experienced guys are defensive minded ones like Vrabel who can fix a D and change a culture, but he leaves the offense and QB to the OC.

Just 3 games in, so early on what are the places where a HC would be in danger?
Dallas (can you deal with Jerry), NYG if Jones flames out?, PHI with Siranni and his over aggressive 4th down decisions? Jax with Pederson and Lawrence getting worse? Taylor in Cincy if they don't make the PO but have a cheap owner?

Always the potential for a Suprise opening as well.

I think Ben Johnson or Slowik are worth the bet. Probably prefer Johnson.
