Tying the series was incredible and took the pressure off, but the narrative swings way back to LA if they win at home tomorrow, and the momentum swings too.

Frederic was not good last game. He had 1 shot on net, none in regulation, he got caved in all metrics. Like what did he do well? He wasn’t even overly physical. He contributed next to nothing. Stop parroting what the media tells you.

Janmark was 0% on the dot losing all 8 last night. Maybe it's time to play Noah Philp. Doubt we have the guts to scratch Arvidsson (actual worst contract on the team) or Janmark though.

Another bright spot from the dark ages: I remember Dubnyk being way better than Khabibulin, but it seemed like they played the Bulin wall more to improve their chances of winning the lottery. He definitely felt like a future Vezina-candidate, and he was...just not with us. The comparisons between him and Stu begin and end with their size.

This just isn't true.

No, he wasn't considered a future Vezina candidate by the media or anything, that's just something I felt based on how good he played despite how atrocious our arguably league-worst defense was.

5 vs 5 his GA/60, xGA/60, xG%, HDCF/60, HDCF%, HDGA/60 and HDGF% were the best of his career. GA/60 and SCA/60 were the second best of his career. He had the highest 1st assists and 3rd highest 5 vs 5 assists of his career.

Thank you for the context, I’ll walk back my statement somewhat. To my eye it seemed like an up and down season with stretches of good play but could be my bias as his play the last few years, and specifically last postseason especially really soured me on this player.

It’s too bad that it hasn’t seemed to translate to the playoffs.

Really? That's too bad. Man I thought it was awesome. I live downtown and wore my Oilers jersey everywhere and had overwhelmingly fun and respectful interactions. My cousin who is a native Vancouverite thought I was crazy to do this. But I only encountered one aggressive moron and I just laughed at him.

I was at Game 7 in my McDavid jersey and had zero negative interactions. A couple Canucks fans said "go win it for Canada" after the game.
