I would not be surprised at all if they take a goalie with our extra picks in rounds 3 & 4 this year.

His agent would probably advise against that as he would want a chance to play in the AHL. If Montreal signs Fowler than they aren't going to play 2 rookies in Laval.

That's true.
I'm not trying to say he's a questionable, or a lower prospect.
I'm saying he's not as good as some think. He's still a strong goalie prospect.
Should linesman let more plays go, or in big games like this a goal like that and then being called back could f*** up the momentum more than just calling an offside
?

Yeah he's smaller, too.
Look at what Fantilli did in the NCAA and now look at Hagens.
Even in a weaker draft I'd be hesitant to use a top 5 pick on him.

Let just say that we have to refrain before we SOLELY put our hopes in him. Not the biggeset. But in general, he has what it takes to make it....really good technically. Good puck reader. not bad athelticsm though that has to improve.
Thing is we talk of him as if he's Askarov or Wallstedt........I don't think he's there. And frankly, we don't even know if Askarov or Wallstedt will be top end....

With Fowler, we just need him to be good. He doesn't need to carry the team game in, game out, but if he can steal a game here and there that would be great.
