Cozens again on the wrong side of a win.

What... is....wrong....with.....this....guy?

7 million dollars and hes an absolute hole most nights.
Who knows, but I think Quinn has the highest IQ of his line and at the very least he will always be useful on PP and maybe even be really good at 5v5 with better partners.

I mean, all three of the non-Kulich lines got kicked in the teeth today.

We can hope they figure out how to get back the puck transporter from his first year and a half, but it seems like it's got to be on RW. He's just not getting it done at center, even back with his security blankets of Peterka and Quinn. And not for nothing but those two have had ups and downs as well that it always seems like one is carrying the other two. For a time a couple years ago it was Cozens carrying them. Then it was Quinn carrying. Then Peterka. They need all three to unf*** themselves, but at this point, the plan needs to adapt to move him to the wing or replace him all together.

Didn't see the game, but moneypuck was not a fan of the Sabres today. Stoked to get another W, but this is a sign that the current success is unsustainable.

Hoping the team proves me wrong.

I wonder if it's time to reward Kulich a bit and put him at center between Cozens and take your pick while Krebs and Benson get the other one.

We capitalized on the few chances we had and UPL was a brick wall reinforced with lead.

If we play the way we did today.....yeah, that's unsustainable. I consider it a bit of karma for some games earlier in the year that we probably deserved a point or two in but got nothing.

Benson doesn’t get an assist because he misses the puck but his positioning boxes out the Blues player and allows Kulich to get the puck and hit full speed quickly. This is one of those things Benson is naturally good at that many people struggle with. He knows where to be on the ice…and ends up in a strong position on the puck all the time. It’s not luck or an accident. His feel of the game is elite. The level of smart where he doesn’t have to think because he’s already there.

I don't know - it's part of "hey, this works" right now so shuffling that around might make all of the lines not work. Which... hey, we've seen a bit of that already.

We have very different definitions of what a reward is. This is more of a “oh yeah hotshot…let’s see you keep it going with Cozens out there” thing

If you want to give him more ice time…just give his line more ice time, they’ve earned it. The not so young anymore kid line hasn’t.
