Mainly because it was clean and the refs would have given STL the powerplay. Address it in the third
What difference does it make that it's clean, this passive, uninteresting team is boring. I watch NHL games and often see a different reaction.

It was a clean hit, they're up 1. You want them to take a penalty on a clean hit (could even say it's an answer to Dahlin blowing someone up) and start the period shorthanded? That's how it becomes a tie game.

If we could have guaranteed offsetting penalties, sure but no need to go down a man to start the period when up by 1 on a clean hit
Yes, I want to see character in this team, as I see in others. There was a whistle, Dahlin had already essentially finished the episode.

I would say Marty and Biron are on a green screen if they didn't show them in the stands earlier...

That's a wild take. "My player eased up assuming the period was over and got hit when the period wasn't over, Attack!"

Its your Captain... you should if it is under different circumstances with with game out of reach or at least a bigger cushion
