i really hope Las Vegas pick plekasex :shakehead:

Lebrun was suggesting today that Plekanec would be a good fit for LV (it's always been my opinion too)........the fact that He only has 1yr left is what's attractive. LV can always trade him at the trade deadline for picks or prospects.

McCarron is waaaaay better than Ott.

And, Mitchell isn't doing much out there. He's lucky Flynn is injured otherwise he would've been benched by now. The only reason he's playing is because he's on the p.k. which Flynn can do quite effectively as well.

King, we've said enough on, too slow to be effective.

Ott is always good for a chuckle, though! Every time I seem him chirping the other team I always get a smile on my face. :)

Also, I think I heard that Flynn is healthy again.

McCarron's been showing some recent life on the forecheck. He should be allowed to build on his confidence. The only thing we'd miss is Ott's faceoff skill.

I'm surprised so many people are complaining about the quality of the game. Montreal lacks finishing right now but they're out-skating and out-shooting the Stars to a high degree.
It's been a pretty strong game from us tonight. We've been inconsistent lately though. Great against Ottawa but then fell asleep against Carolina and Detroit. You're right though, lack of finish is what's really killing us. They system is good and we've played mostly well this year.

Galchenyuk's got to go back to center though and despite the goal tonight I still think we should split Radulov and Max.

bergevin not spending for acquiring a top6 players in the trade deadline...

What exactly did he have to trade away that another team would willingly take for any top 6 players?

What about the team constantly missing out on drafting or developing a quality true starting C for the past 7+ years?

Just curious how you get top 6 talent without giving up a ton in return for an expensive rental?

They really are. Galchy's having trouble fighting for pucks though. He needs to do more if he wants Julien to play him more.

We're playing fine overall this season. Even under Therrien we played well this year.

But we lack talent and if we could score just a little more would be in much better shape in terms of a cup run.

Agree that we lack that break game talent but the boys are playing a well structured high paced game.

We're dictating the pace and imposing ourselves most of the nights while limiting the opposition's high scoring chances.

GHG!

He is. He fit the player profile an expansion team would be looking for. He's a good vet, got good ethic and LV don't care much about immediate results.

1 superb pass , the rest has been poor

But that was a great scoring chance

I disagree, he's been less soft than his usual self and he's been winning battles. Not at Danault's level, but he looks like Plekanec of old, only with his hands in solidly in cement.

I think the game plan for tonight was specifically to dump everything at Lehtonen and pounce on the rebound. He's good at stopping pucks but terrible at controlling them.
