I think this series ends next Tuesday.
And I hope you are very rich by the end of this playoff run.
I think this series ends next Tuesday.
...advanced stats would show their goaltending was awful and their PK was both too frequent and leakyHanging onto fruitless stuff like advanced stats in the playoffs is kind of pathetic. They can look at every advanced metric and try and find light at the end of the tunnel, the fact is Ottawa has no chance with being undisciplined and getting goaltending like that
This is why I watch YouTube highlights of Leafs games with Joe Bowen commentary. It's refreshing to actually hear praise when the Leafs dominate. These shows try heavily to not have any perceived Toronto bias, so it usually ends up being the opposite... pro whatever team we play.
Ha, unfortunately I don't think my $1,000 bet will make me rich. And I hope you are very rich by the end of this playoff run.
Lalonde says he pays attention to 5vs5 Ozone possession and said that the Sens were up 2 minutes on the Leafs. One positive but they have lots of work to do to avoid going down 2-0.The score sounds like a dominent win by the Leafs, but for the most part they were out played, Ulmark's poor play and penalty trouble for Ottawa were the reasons that the Leafs won, I know the score was 6-2, but this game could've gone either way in terms of game play.
Really? Thought Leafs was the better team even without those PP.The score sounds like a dominent win by the Leafs, but for the most part they were out played, Ulmark's poor play and penalty trouble for Ottawa were the reasons that the Leafs won, I know the score was 6-2, but this game could've gone either way in terms of game play.
Previous Leafs teams often won the advance stats but not the game. It was a frustrating time reading all kinds of posts about our advance stats in post game loss threads. The score sounds like a dominent win by the Leafs, but for the most part they were out played, Ulmark's poor play and penalty trouble for Ottawa were the reasons that the Leafs won, I know the score was 6-2, but this game could've gone either way in terms of game play.
And Ottawa owned them this season regardless of being the inferior team………I think it's fair to say Ottawa isn't on our level and that the series isn't over
The way the Leafs lose this series is if they heavily underperform, which is obviously possible given history. It isn't like 2022 TB where you can play excellent and lose because you're up against an elite club
Did he played bad though? The good news for Sens fans is can Ullmark play any worse?
Really? I thought the Leafs dominated them from start to finishThe score sounds like a dominent win by the Leafs, but for the most part they were out played, Ulmark's poor play and penalty trouble for Ottawa were the reasons that the Leafs won, I know the score was 6-2, but this game could've gone either way in terms of game play.
Leaf Nation butt hurt by the comments from hockey talking heads is too funny, do yourselves a favour and mute your TV’s before the game, between periods, and after the game………is it just me, or did the Post Game comments seem to be strictly about Ottawa, and how they can improve... its as though the Leafs ceased to exist, and have no impact on dictating the game or how Ottawa will play.
I thought he played was poorly, doubt said play will continue, but you never know……..Did he played bad though?
OEL walked into the slot uncontested
MM scored on a breakaway
Nobody even touched JT after he won the faceoff and he had two chances on goal 5-7feet from the crease.
Willie’s shot was just filthy
Reilly’s goal was a bounce that won’t happened again.
Knies goal was just a battle lost in front of the net.
He didn’t play great but don’t think he played bad.
It's worth noting that the actual shot attempts were pretty close in that period, 23-18 favouring the Sens. Sens also had a lot of garbage from the outside, scoring chances were even while the Leafs won the xGF% share and also beat Ottawa 4-1 in high danger chances.JT and Mitch equaled their last playoff production in one game. So far so good. But no more 5 shot 1st periods please.
Ottawa only had a few grade A chances at 5v5, mostly when the game was already out of reach. It was also hard for either team to get much going at 5v5 when the flow of the game was constantly being disrupted by penalties. The score sounds like a dominent win by the Leafs, but for the most part they were out played, Ulmark's poor play and penalty trouble for Ottawa were the reasons that the Leafs won, I know the score was 6-2, but this game could've gone either way in terms of game play.

The breakaway and the big save on Pinto when it was 2-1 were huge.Ottawa only had a few grade A chances at 5v5, mostly when the game was already out of reach. It was also hard for either team to get much going at 5v5 when the flow of the game was constantly being disrupted by penalties.
I think my market losses will dwarf my Leafs gains...There's still time![]()
Not directing at you as I am just using your quote.JT and Mitch equaled their last playoff production in one game. So far so good. But no more 5 shot 1st periods please.

All last summer, there are folks here kept saying the core played well….they produced…just look at their advanced stats…..
Where are these people now, as all I read after last night is JT, MM, AM and Willie all having 2 or more pts and how JT and MM already equaled their last playoffs productions.
Real stats over advanced stats any day of the week.
Leafs scoring first definitely helped.
It wasn't that they were quiet before that, but it felt a bit tense before the first goal (or maybe it's just because I'm always tense during a Leafs game haha).
Brady sucks chants were louder than any Go Leafs Go chants which probably helps... It's good for fan energy to have a villain.
"Bradys ugly" and "Bradys hairline" were also pretty common if anybody couldn't hear them on the TV.
Had TSN Ottawa on this morning it just kept building, by the time it was over at 10 and a few guests they generally believed the Sens had dominated other than a few soft calls and not terrible, but average goaltending. learn something new everyday i guess. I thought the Sens were kept mostly to the outside and Stolarz was good but didn't have to be great. They didn't threaten that much. Seems around here at least the leafs were lucky and helped tremendously by officiating. head scratchingSportsnet boys seem almost consensus that the Sens were great, gotta love it
