They can only keep up this "we're trying super duper hard to compete guys, honest!" facade for so long as embarrassing losses pile up and they stare down a third straight playoff miss, imo. Maybe it doesn't result in anything in-season but if the fans start booing and chanting to have Sullivan and/or Dubas fired, I think ownership's gotta eventually take notice and make changes.
I mean, it's absolutely certain nothing will change if they keep hobbling around showing signs of life every couple of games, so I hope they just f***ing crater because that's the only way there's even a chance of anything changing. /shrug
