Barzal unhappy with Fan Support/Attendance at UBS Arena

Oiler fans should not be talking about the futility of another NHL team. Most Islander fans are already aware of the issues the organization faces today. But please Oiler fans- not ones to judge.

again, not an oil thread (create one if one if you like) and ANYONE can comment on anything here, discussions are not locked to fanbases.

Pulling up the "my team won a cup" argument is dumb and it gets even dumber the further back you go.

Near the bottom of the conference and being mad that fans don't show up is kinda weird, no?

But oddly only 7 points out of the playoffs and on an upswing with all the injured players returning. Now mind you most Islander fans apparently don't want us to be in the playoffs and purposely tank like the Oilers did for nearly a decade, but this fan wants them to just go for it.

I said it was just him because my memory goes past 6 years.

Admittedly the the Islanders have been one of the most boring teams in the NHL to watch for the past 6 years prior to Roy. Roy is trying to change all that but because of massive injuries they are currently sitting 7 points out of the playoffs. Give him time. They'll be there.

You must have missed the 2001-2002 playoffs. Granted they did not get very far but boring was not how I would have described those Isles. In fact I would have taken the way the Isles fought and clawed throughout that series than any of the past 4 playoff series they were involved in. That was an exciting playoff team. Playing to win.



Honorable mention to the 2016 team making it past the first round since 1993



Second honorable mention to the two teams that made it to the ECF the in the past 6 years



Again, where were the Oilers most of those years? So hard to accept commentary on the state of the Isles from an Oiler fan.

I don't consider Roy hockey boring at all. That is a thing of the past and even then the Isles arenas have been packed since 2016. So trying to connect boring with the reason why fans are not attending is stupid and nothing to do with this thread at all.
