In past years I would agree, however, Barrie is better statistically on the road with a better PP and PK
Getting the 1 seed will mean a much better 1st round opponent instead of Niagara Brampton Sudbury who can all upset someone round 1 or u get the 1 seed and get north bay or Ottawa which is a big difference and either team has much of a chance vs whoever the 1 seed is. Regular season numbers ain’t always gonna translate into the playoffs either. I just know in a deep run u want those game 7’s in Barrie and not down in Oshawa, Brantford, etccc

Not to mention while teams are beating eachother up in the first round. An easy opponent (4 or 5 games) will do wonders versus a team that wins in game 7 double OT

Well that was a good ole fanison ass whipping. No Bertucci really makes the d core weak gotta stop playing Eliasson top 4 mins he’s completely lost out there. Most the forwards are overmatched vs a London team who can fly. Best hope is Kitchener or Windsor beat London before the finals.

According to Gene Pereira Bertucci is out indefinitely with Mono unfortunately
Yep, apparently gonna be out a while. They gotta do a brain dump on that effort. Felt sorry for Hrebik; just wasn't his night. The goal off his back was brutal luck. Team looked like they were chasing the puck all night.

London was so much faster all night not much Barrie can do unfortunately London is just a better team. Hrebik actually played great considering he gave up 8

Your goalie was peppered. Should have been a double digit goal total if he wasn’t in net

William Schneid signed with Barrie today 07 born American U Conn commit for 26/27 he’s a high school player ranked #202 in the North American skaters rankings in the upcoming nhl draft. Nice little pickup from the colts and a guy that can be a solid top 9 player next season.

Well it wasn't pretty, but, expected. NB is hungry for that last playoff spot and Barrie played w/o Bertucci, Akey, Jelsma as well as other players playing with the flu. It sucks; however, all teams will deal with illness/injuries and you must find a way to play through it. One of the longer shootouts this year and both goalies came up big. Jelsma probably won't play in Kingston on Monday as well as Bertucci. Depth players need to step up. Glad to see the NB trio starting to click as of late.

We missed the Beau's last night big time. Felt like Beaudoin and Patterson struggled without Jelsma and the D weren't as solid without Akey. Any chance the pushback of 24 hours is enough to get them both back? were they both sick or injured?

Can't see Jelsma playing as Marty was quoted as saying maybe next weekend he'll return to the lineup.

Are Jelsma and Van Steensel getting looks from NHL teams? It is their last year in the league. I just moved here so I havent seen many games but Jelsma looks like one of the best players on a team with over 10 NHL picks on it. As for Van Steensel I can't say the same about him but he had a very succesful year last year so just wondered if he was getting some looks also. I

Jelsma has definitely been getting looks from Pittsburgh. He signed a PTO with their AHL affiliate last season and played a couple games there. I would be very surprised if he doesn’t have an AHL/ECHL deal by the next off season.

Right. I wonder if he takes one of those AHL deals with the opportunity to now go NCAA. May only accept an NHL contract if he likes school.
