Will be nice to have a 1A and a 1B going into playoffs this year
On that subject what do you do with your tenders next season. Both will want to be starters. Do you trade one in the off season or go with both and take up an overage spot with Sam. Good problem to have. I think Hrebik is the better goalie of the two, not just statistically.

I think they'll have to move one in the summer. If the Colts plan on making another run next year, you probably have to trade Hrebik as he has much more value since he's not an OA and the Colts need picks. If you're rebuilding/retooling next year, keep Hrebik as you'll get 2 years out of him most likely and will have other very valuable assets to move.

Wanted to also point out I think Jaiden Newton's game is really coming along lately even if the production isn't there. Had a couple really strong chances last night that nearly resulted in goals. With the 11F/7D lately he's gotten to play with some of the top guys and hasn't looked out of place. Added some physicality this year that I was not expecting as well.

I think the colts should keep Hrebik as Romani, Gardiner, and Tiller should all return as OAs.

5 out of 6 points on a 3 in 3 is a pretty great outcome.

I'd like to see the Colts keep Hrebik as they'll get two great seasons put of him. Having two great goalies is a good problem to have. Hoping Jaswal developing well. Credit to Bellitski for keeping our goaltending strong. Not sure Sam/Ben are as good as they are without Belitzkis influence.

Newton always been steady in my opinion. Seeing as he's a late 07 his trajectory is looking pretty good now.

I think it’ll all depend on if Romani comes back next year as a OA and if they can get William Moore to commit to the team. If one of those things happen and especially if both of them do I think u have to take a run at it again. I think both imports will be back at least hopefully hemming is Eliasson could be replaced if need be. If Romani is back I think u go Romani Gardiner and Tiller as OA’s and look to upgrade Tiller at the dealine or even before the season. I’d trade Hillebrandt to a team like Kitchener or Erie teams that need a goalie and will be going for it next year. Hillebrandt numbers this year and last including the unbelievable performance in the playoffs you’ll still probably get 4-5 picks for him. Hrebik is the real deal and if they are going for it I think u have to keep him especially cause he doenst cost u a OA Spot. And of course if Romani is gone and Moore doesn’t come then I think u trade Beaudoin Patterson Aitcheson etc and rebuild. I think either way it’ll be a 2 year rebuild at very minimum regardless if u go for it next year or not but I think if u got a good team next year I think u have to try to win with your horses. Colts should have one of the best 19 year old cores in the league next year

I see a scenario where all current 05’s are either playing pro or go school route next year.

If imports return- Based on current roster and who is signed you will see something like this;

Lowe Beaudoin Patterson
Stewart Moore/OA Hemming
Bowen Newton Martin
Black/Mccormick Legostaev Armstrong
Dubowsky

Aitcheson Passmore
Eliasson OA
Handsor Armstrong
Vader Emmerton Barton

Hrebik
Jaswal

Obviously 1st rounder is in lineup but will be a late pick. Add another OA somewhere but if they go young after Xmas I would have 2 OA on back end for stability.

Trade deadline Beaudoin Patterson Aitcheson are all moved for players and picks and they rebuild on go and get a playoff spot and high pick in 2026.
Kingston, Oshawa, Barrie, Sudbury, Brampton all in similar spots next year in East.

I agree Romani probably is a good bet to be playing ncaa or AHL but he isn’t signed and isn’t gonna play a full season. Will depend what Vancouver wants it’ll help having Patterson also a Vancouver pick in Barrie next year. Gardiner isn’t signed and was drafted in 2023 so unless he’s signed soon he’ll be back I don’t see him going the school route until after his OA season as he requested to play in Barrie this year to be close to home. Tiller will be back but if you’re going for it he’ll probs need to be upgraded. Moore is the big chip this offseason I doubt he reports but if he does this team could be very good again next year.
