Am unsure of any other details, but the AHL transactions page lists Rem Pitlick as "Released from SPC."

Pitlick was a scratch last game. No longer listed on our roster.

Would love to know more about this one. Timing is very weird. Usually when I see "Released from SPC" it's because a player on an AHL contrarct has been signed to an NHL one, but that would make little sense in this situation. And it's also a contract and not a tryout, so far as I know both sides would have to agree to this or there'd have to be a reason.

(edit: Sheng said in this article that Pitlick didn't play last game because of a "personal matter." Hope everything's all right for him.)

The magic number for the Barracuda is indeed seven points, Tucson has the final playoff spot and is six points behind us, Bakersfield is in eighth and seven points behind us. Logically we have to finish above both of them.

I'm mentioning this because it's going to be difficult for both of those teams to gain ground on us this weekend since they're playing two games against each other.

Honestly, giving Furlong-Landen a small amount of ice time is fine, but that means we've got the likes of John Gormley and Jeremie Bucheler getting big minutes.

Vanroboys and Sabourin sandwich-hit Jacob MacDonald and he is shaken up. That'd be a huge blow for the Eagles.

Vanroboys is in the box at the end of this clip because he was given a penalty for something else, by the way, not what's shown here.

Been a competitive game so far, refs have been letting a lot of stuff go. There's only been one power play in this game, off Vanroboys's interference call in the first. Impressed with our effort.

Barracuda finally get a power play but get nothing off it, however the Eagles then put it over the glass right after to put us right back onto the PP. The second PP is terrible, but Giles manages to pot one after it pinballs around. 4-3 Cuda.

Jake Furlong with some terrible miscues in his own zone. That guy is now getting into the territory where I'm nervous every time I see him on the ice.

Vanroboys! 5-3 Cuda. Sabourin with an assist to complete the Gordie Howe.

I feel like the Vincent - Vanroboys - Sabourin line has been the only one that has looked consistently decent over the last five games or so. Glad they all got rewarded with goals tonight
