I was surprised to learn we had already been shut out 4 times by this point last season. A similar record. And similar standings. It's hard to be mad at your tender giving up 4 in a shutout when your starter did it just days ago. It's actually hard to be mad at all. I'll save that for April losses. These guys aren't getting up for Mtl in Dec. Meh.

Also, unfortunate that we've continued the trend of sucking at home ice, pretty sure this was an issue last season as well. Not that our home record was bad, but the losses were usually stinkers.

Well I just did that, my son’s back for the holidays and this was the best game for us schedule wise. Had to be this one.

They were all skating very lackadaisical. I’ll pick on Barkov because as he goes, his line goes. There were only a couple of flashes from him where he wasn’t coasting. When he didn’t, they got a turnover and the first stages of a scoring chance. But they didn’t push back on the Habs at all.

And Reino’s PP giveaway was one for the ages of atrocity. Pure crap. Reino also lost the puck a couple of times on lazy deflection passes at the blue line and then the Habs got it deep into our zone. Awful. Worst I’ve seen him play since Buffalo.

And everyone was trying to wear a hole in the goalie’s logo. They couldn’t shoot at corners and at least give him a slight challenge. f***ing bunch of no effort assholes today. I told my son that Pomo shoulda played only Barky’s and Benny’s lines for the last 5 minutes, not to try to catch up but as punishment.

Like their game plan was “let’s piss off our fans and give the game away to the fearsome Habs”.

For me it’s very easy to be pissed off at the team but I shelled a bunch of dough to go see them in person
