Barbara Bosson, the Emmy-nominated actress best known from 'Hill Street Blues,' has died. She was 83.

Many of her jobs were linked to her ex-husband Steven Bosco and he said one reason he kept using her because she would take the roles which other actresses did not want to do cause they were whinny.

Hill Street Blues was great. I was really young, but that series changed me from being sitcom kid like most normal kids to watching the 10pm dramas like Hill Street Blues and St Elsewhere.

I will say that White Shadow was the first well done "grown up" show that was directed at high school/young kids.
